This design featured a jaguar head with two eyes peering out from underneath its ears and whiskers that extended around both sides of its face. In 1994 another new logo was unveiled by South Alabama Athletics featuring a more aggressive-looking jaguar head with fangs bared and teeth showing along with sharp claws extending outward from each paw - this version also had some red added into the mix for contrast against all other colors used on previous logos (teal blue/black/white & yellow).
Robert “Bob” Jones: The Artist Behind the Icon
In addition to being visually appealing, this particular logo also has some interesting historical significance behind it: It was designed by former student-athlete Robert “Bob” Jones who attended Southern University (now known as USA). He created this image during his time there before transferring over to the USA where he became involved with athletics administration after graduation in 1979 - making him part of both schools’ histories!

USA also offers classes in nearby Baldwin County at its Fairhope campus, and in 2015 opened Gulf Coast Campus.
