Understanding the University of Florida's MyUFHealth Patient Portal
MyUFHealth is a secure patient portal designed to provide convenient access to your medical records and facilitate secure communication with your healthcare providers at the University of Florida (UF) Health. It empowers you to play a more active role in your healthcare journey by offering a range of features accessible 24/7.
What is MyUFHealth?
MyUFHealth is a secure electronic web portal that uses your personal ID and password to protect your health information. It's a tool designed to make managing your healthcare easier and more efficient.
Key Features of MyUFHealth
The portal offers a comprehensive suite of features, allowing you to:
- View Your Health Information: Access portions of your medical record to stay informed about your health status.
- Read Care Team Notes: Review notes and summaries from your care team to better understand your treatment plan.
- Schedule Appointments: Conveniently schedule appointments with your primary care provider and certain specialty providers directly through the portal.
- Complete Pre-Visit Questionnaires: Save time during your appointments by completing necessary questionnaires online before your visit.
- Send Messages and Attachments: Communicate securely with your care team by sending messages and relevant attachments.
- View Test Results: Access your lab results, radiology reports, and other test results online. Note that results may be visible before your healthcare provider reviews them, so allow time for them to interpret and explain the findings.
- Choose a Pharmacy: Select your preferred pharmacy for prescriptions to streamline the medication process.
- Manage Your Billing Account: View the latest statements and make online payments around the clock.
Enhanced Security with Two-Step Verification
To ensure the privacy of your information, MyUFHealth employs a two-step verification process as an optional security feature. This adds an extra layer of protection, making it difficult for unauthorized individuals to access your account, even if they know your password. You will be prompted to re-verify every 90 days if using the same browser or mobile device. However, if you use a different one, two-step verification will need to be completed again.
Accessing MyUFHealth
Any adult patient who has been served at UF Health can sign up for MyUFHealth. There are a couple of ways to get started:

- Activation Code: When you visit UF Health, you'll receive an activation code. Use this code to initiate the registration process.
- Online Sign-Up: If you don't have an activation code, you can sign up directly on the MyUFHealth login screen. You'll be asked to provide some personal information to verify your identity and create an account.
Using the MyChart Mobile App
For convenient access on the go, download the MyChart mobile app from your device's app store. Search for "MyChart" from the developer Epic Systems. UF Health has formed a unique collaboration with Epic to launch a new electronic medical record feature, MyChart Central.
Important Considerations
- MyUFHealth is Not Your Legal Medical Record: Keep in mind that the information available on MyUFHealth is a portion of your medical record, not the complete legal document.
- Communication is Part of Your Medical Record: All communication sent or received through MyUFHealth is saved and becomes part of your official medical record.
- Provider Interpretation is Key: While you can view test results online, it's essential to allow your physician provider to interpret and explain the results in the context of your overall health. We require your physician provider to interpret and explain your results, rather than nurses or other care team members.
- Privacy and Security: UF Health prioritizes the privacy and security of your health information. Access is controlled through secure activation codes, personal usernames, and passwords.
