California Intern Network (CAIN)

The California Intern Network offers part-time paid student internships in a real-world setting at California state agencies, cities, counties and private businesses. This program is open to Sac State students and any college student attending an affiliated college or university. The position of Human Resources Technician (CAIN) with Human Resources (HR) is the primary HR liaison for the California Intern Network (CAIN). CAIN is a statewide program of University Enterprises, Inc, based at Sacramento State, that provides college students with opportunities to work in their field of study while in school. Specific Job Roles within UEI

UEI, a nonprofit auxiliary of Sacramento State, is frequently hiring for a diverse range of positions, reflecting its involvement in various campus operations and programs. These positions include:

Program Specialist (CCAMPIS): Working with the Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) program, this role supports students eligible to receive a Pell grant with childcare services. The Program Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the CCAMPIS grant activities and will work to recruit and assist students to receive the childcare funds.
Retention Specialist (CAMP): This position within the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) advises first and second-year migrant students regarding university procedures, career development, job opportunities, internships, scholarships, and many other personal and academic issues related to university life.
Human Resources Assistant: As the first point of contact for the UEI HR Department, this position performs a variety of complex customer service and office support assignments, assists employees with employment paperwork, and answers questions regarding personnel policies and procedures.
Facilities Maintenance Worker - Painter: Working with the University Union & The WELL, this role maintains the facilities of these key campus buildings.

Fellow Advisor and Coordinator (Career Center / Sacramento State College Corps): This position performs general advising and coordination of services for Sacramento State fellows to fulfill the outreach, recruitment, retention, compliance, training, career development, leadership development, service-learning, and reporting objectives of the fellow experience.
Application Developer (AB2370) (Office of Water Programs): Collaborating with the IT and Research departments, this position works on specialized application development projects.
Human Resources Technician (CAIN): This position performs various complex technical support functions in the employment area including reviewing and approving part-time and student jobs for posting, monitoring job postings, releasing applications, and assisting with recruitment outreach.

Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS)

(UEI), a nonprofit auxiliary of Sacramento State, is #hiring for a Program Specialist with Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS). CCAMPIS is a unique educational program at Sacramento State that assists students who are eligible to receive a Pell grant with services related to childcare. Department of Education. Students receive funds to pay for on and off campus childcare and support services to increase retention and graduation of student parents at Sacramento State. Sac State’s childcare voucher program-which can be used at a variety of locations, including the ASI Children’s Center on campus-is called the Hornet Family Study Care Grant.

College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)

(UEI), a nonprofit auxiliary of Sacramento State, is #hiring for a Retention Specialist with the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). CAMP is a unique educational program at Sacramento State that assists students from migrant and seasonal farmworker backgrounds to succeed in obtaining a college degree. Department of Education. Students receive outreach, admission, and academic and personal support services to ease the transition from high school to Sacramento State.

University Union & The WELL

(UEI), a nonprofit auxiliary of Sacramento State, is #hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Worker - Painter with University Union & The WELL. is an auxiliary of Sacramento State and is a California 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation. The corporation consists of the facility operations and programs of two buildings: The WELL (Recreation & Wellness Center) and The University Union. The WELL, totaling approximately 150,000 square feet, houses three fitness studios, a cardio suite, two fitness floors, a multi-activity court, four basketball courts, a rock-climbing wall, four racquetball courts, an indoor running track, locker rooms, and a conference center. The WELL is also home to Student Health and Counseling Services. The facilities provide services to over 31,000 students, as well as faculty and staff on campus.

Sacramento State College Corps

(UEI), a nonprofit auxiliary of Sacramento State, is #hiring for a Fellow Advisor and Coordinator with Career Center / Sacramento State College Corps. The Sacramento State College Corps program is where college students help community efforts, learn new skills, network, and find out what working in their future career fields might feel like. This program is part of a bigger effort by California Volunteers to encourage students to: help with important projects in education, food distribution, health, community and environmental partnerships; succeed in school and prepare for their future careers; work with local agencies and non-profits to alleviate local issues.
