Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarship at VCU is a prestigious award that covers the cost of tuition and fees, up to $16,000 per year (with a maximum of $8,000 per semester), as well as room and board expenses. This scholarship provides substantial financial assistance to outstanding entering freshmen.
Notably, finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program who apply to VCU by November 1 and notify the National Merit Scholarship Corp. by May 31 that VCU is their first-choice institution are also eligible for a VCU Presidential Scholarship.

Deans’ Scholarship

Complete the General Application: The first step is to complete the general application, which can be found under the ‘My Applications’ tab. This application is linked to your official university record and includes information such as your major(s), minor, and GPA. Once submitted, the system will match you with scholarships for which you are eligible based on factors like your major, GPA, number of completed courses, and transfer student status.
Complete the School of the Arts Application (If Applicable): If you are a student in the School of the Arts, you must also complete the ‘School of the Arts Application’. You can review the applicant information that has been imported by clicking the gray ‘Applicant Record’ button. If you notice any errors on this page, contact VCU Records and Registration or your home department to have the corrections made.
Explore Scholarship Opportunities: The ‘Opportunities’ tab displays a list of scholarships for which you are eligible based on the answers you provided in the general and school of the arts applications, as well as your imported University data. Carefully review the criteria and deadlines for each scholarship opportunity and click ‘Apply’ to begin the application process.
Submit Individual Scholarship Applications: Once you have completed each individual scholarship application and are satisfied with your responses, click ‘Finish and Submit’ to submit your application.
