Taking the CLEP Exam at UCF's University Testing Center (UTC)
CLEP exams can be taken most weekdays at the University Testing Center on campus. UTC is located on the first floor of Howard Phillips Hall, room 106. The center offers a secure and comfortable environment that includes three technologically advanced computer testing labs with 46 testing stations. The University Testing Center received national recognition from the College Board as it was named a top 100 CLEP test centers in the country in 2014-2015 and recognized for its commitment to promoting access to higher education for all students. Each year, the College Board recognizes the top test centers across the country who administer the most number of CLEP tests. In 2014-2015, UTC administered a total of 268 CLEP exams to 398 students.
Registration and Scheduling
All appointments must be booked a minimum of 24 hours prior to the desired date/time. Appointments may be rescheduled up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled date/time at no cost by following the instructions below.
Test Day Information
Report to the UCF/University Testing Center office, located on the first floor in Howard Phillips Hall, room 106. This building is located next to the Library and the Reflecting Pond. Howard Phillips Hall is building #14 on the campus map. Test-takers are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time.
Identification Policy
Test takers are required to present one (1) primary form of government-issued identification that includes their photograph and signature.

Exam Retake Policy
A CLEP may not be retaken within a 3-month period.
Score Reporting
You will receive a copy of your exam score immediately upon completion of the exam unless you have taken an exam with an essay or written section. If you want to send your scores to a college, employer, or certifying agency, you can request that the scores be sent to a score recipient through the CollegeBoard My Account registration portal prior to exam day. This service is free of charge only if you select your score recipient through My Account prior to testing. If you designate UCF as the recipient of your official CLEP transcript, it may take approximately 4-6 weeks from the date of request through CollegeBoard/CLEP for the UCF Registrar’s Office to receive and process your scores.
Calculators
Test takers planning to complete the Calculus, Chemistry, College Algebra, College Mathematics, or Precalculus exam titles may familiarize themselves with the online calculators by navigating to the CollegeBoard practice site. Note: test takers are not allowed to bring and use their own calculator for the CLEP exam.
Accommodations for Test Takers with Disabilities
The office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works in collaboration with the University Testing Center (UTC) to ensure that reasonable accommodations are made for test takers with documented disabilities. Test takers with disabilities seeking alternative testing arrangements (e.g. $45.00 proctoring appointment cost paid directly to UTC via RegisterBlast.
Prohibited Items
Review the University Testing Center’s policies prior to test day. Items such as outerwear (hoodies, sweaters, jackets, pullovers, cardigans, any form of layered clothing), watches, and electronic devices are not permitted into the test room.
