Engineering Internships: A Deep Dive
Engineering internships at TEL offer a 'hands-on' experience, enabling students to assist in the design, testing, and rework of equipment used in the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- System Design and Development: Assist with the design and development of systems that monitor and control TEL equipment.
- Power Distribution: Contribute to the design and development of power distribution within TEL equipment.
- Testing and Experimentation: Create and improve test procedures, run tests, and conduct experiments.

TEL's Sales Internship for Summer 2024 offers a unique opportunity to support the Sales Account team and contribute to customer relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Mapping: Support the Sales Account team in customer relationship mapping and customer scorecard initiatives.
- Sales Initiatives: Assist with sales initiatives inside the Heat Map process and presentation preparation for monthly reporting.
- Ramp Readiness: Partner with the Sales Account Manager to support TEL’s ramp readiness at customer’s US-based HVM sites.
- Professional Demeanor: Maintain professional courtesy and demeanor in all customer interactions.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and learn CRM software programs to accomplish job tasks.
- Collaboration: Work across various business units and collaborate with teams to create positive internal partnerships, including TEL factory business partners, as well as local startup, service, technical support, and environmental health and safety members.
- International Teamwork: Work in an international team environment, adapting to cultural differences and expectations.
- Relationship Building: Build relationships with internal and external customers, focusing on continuous improvement and growth of TEL’s core values.
- Flexibility: Be flexible to modify priorities and job tasks to meet customer requirements within TEL’s existing business processes.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Some College Education: Experience in the field of business.
- Data Visualization: Strong data visualization background with an understanding of AI capabilities is preferred.
- Relevant Coursework: Basic coursework experience in sales/marketing, technology, and interpersonal communication is a plus.
- Industry Experience: Some Semiconductor Industry Experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
- The role is primarily performed in an office setting, but periodic factory tours for customer alignment and internal auditing are needed.
- Requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
- Largely a sedentary role, but some filing is required, which would necessitate the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
- This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
Compensation and Benefits
TEL offers competitive salary ranges for its internship positions. The salary ranges from $33.65 to $45.05, and individual pay is determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, full-time regular employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package and, for certain roles, eligibility in bonus plans and long-term incentives.
