Kappa Delta Foundation Scholarships

The Kappa Delta Foundation provides several scholarship opportunities for its members. In the past year, the Kappa Delta Foundation awarded over $930,000 in scholarships to 352 sisters from 129 collegiate chapters. The application deadline is in December.

Undergraduate Merit Scholarships

These scholarships support students who have achieved academic success and are involved on campus and/or in their KD chapter. If you will still be working toward your undergraduate degree during the 2025-2026 academic year, consider this option. Completing the application will automatically consider you for any merit-based scholarships for which you qualify.

Undergraduate Need-Based Scholarships

These scholarships support students in need of financial assistance. Members who apply for a need-based scholarship should be those struggling financially.

Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award

This award is presented each year to the top Kappa Delta student leaders. To be eligible, you must be an upperclassman who has held one or more KD and campus leadership roles in the 2025-2026 academic year. Recipients are chosen based on high academic performance and exemplary leadership within the chapter, campus, and community. This award is the highest individual honor Kappa Delta gives to undergraduate members. A recommendation letter must be submitted no later than December.

Graduate Scholarships

These scholarships are for seniors or alumnae planning to go to graduate school for the 2025-2026 academic year or completing a graduate certificate program.

Kappa Delta Pi Scholarships

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) also offers several scholarships, often in partnership with other institutions. These scholarships support members pursuing degrees in education and related fields.

KDP Master's Tuition Scholarship with American College of Education (ACE)

KDP partners with the American College of Education (ACE) to offer a Master's Tuition Scholarship valued at approximately $7,990 to one KDP member. The MA in Elementary Teaching and MA in Secondary Teaching programs are not included in this scholarship. No funds will be paid directly to the recipient by KDP or ACE. The selected recipient will be responsible for any additional fees. The scholarship is valid for program start dates on September 29, 2025, or November 10, 2025. No alternative start dates are available.

KDP Scholarships for Practicing Educators

Two practicing educators in their first 5 years in the classroom can apply. The essay prompt (no more than 750 words, 3,800 characters) is: “What are your professional and personal reasons for seeking leadership and service opportunities in KDP?"

KDP Scholarships for Special Education Majors

Two undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Special Education can apply. The essay prompt (no more than 750 words, 3,800 characters) is: “Write an essay that portrays your personal vision as an educator and how your student teaching experience influenced your future career goals.” An additional statement is required, demonstrating financial need. In lieu of an essay, please submit a research paper completed between May 1, 2024, and April 25, 2025, that was part of an undergraduate or graduate program in a recognized school or college of education.

Louise M. Berman Fellows Fund

KDP is honored to serve as the endowment manager for the legacy of the Louise M. Berman Fellows Fund. Dr. Berman was a longtime member of KDP and an honored Laureate. Available to two graduate students at the master’s or doctoral level. The essay prompt (no more than 750 words, 3,800 characters) is: "What are your professional and personal reasons for seeking leadership and service opportunities in KDP?"

KDP Scholarship for Future Elementary Educators

The essay prompt (no more than 750 words, 3,800 characters) is: “Upon graduation, you have been hired to teach students in a first- or second-grade self-contained classroom.

KDP Scholarship for Aspiring Elementary Educators

The essay prompt (no more than 750 words, 3,800 characters) is: "What life experiences have led you to study education, and how will those experiences influence your role as an elementary educator?" An additional statement is required, demonstrating financial need. View Form.
