Application Details

Prior baseball experience is not mandatory for success in this role. The hourly rate for this position is $20. Applications must be submitted by December 16th, 2025, to ensure consideration. This is a Summer Internship program running from late May to early August+, pending candidate availability.

Legal Internship Program

The Legal Internship Program at the Boston Red Sox offers interns valuable professional experience and insight into the role of in-house legal counsel within a professional sports team. Participants will contribute to the organization's success by completing projects tailored to their educational and professional interests.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Legal Department interns will be expected to assist with game-day operations and special events at Fenway Park. They will also attend and engage in a weekly Lunch & Learn Program with senior staff, and prepare and deliver a group project presentation on a selected topic to a panel of Front Office staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should possess excellent communication skills for interacting with attorneys, members of other departments, and third parties. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Familiarity with the typical summer baseball schedule and comfort working long hours are also expected. Furthermore, the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of department and organizational information and matters is paramount. Current JD candidates are preferred.

Fenway Sports Management Associate Program

The Associate Program is designed for recent college graduates and early professionals interested in pursuing a career in the sports and entertainment industry. Associates will be selected to work within specific FSM departments, with opportunities in Partnership Sales, Solutions, Strategy, Creative as well as Boston Common Golf, playing a vital role in the daily operation of the company.

Program Structure and Commitment

The Associate Program begins in late May or early June, running for a maximum of 12 months, with a minimum commitment of 9 months requested. Associates are selected based on their experience, academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, and FSM’s current business needs. The application window for the 2026-2027 Associate Program is now CLOSED.

Each Associate will contribute meaningfully to one primary area within the Acquisitions or Baseball Administration & Strategy domains, while supporting department-wide initiatives and projects.
