Understanding Veritas Scholars Academy Tuition and Affordability
Choosing the right educational path for your child is a significant decision, and understanding the financial aspects is a crucial part of the process. Veritas Scholars Academy (VSA), known for its classical Christian online education, offers various options to make quality education accessible to families. This article delves into the tuition structure, payment plans, and financial aid opportunities available at Veritas Scholars Academy.
Veritas Scholars Academy: An Overview
Founded in 2006, Veritas Scholars Academy (VSA) stands as the world’s first K-12 classical Christian online school. With a faculty of over 160 teachers, two-thirds of whom hold advanced degrees, VSA serves more than 10,000 students globally. This global reach allows students to connect with peers and teachers from diverse backgrounds, enriching their learning experience. VSA utilizes different course formats to cater to various learning styles and needs:
LIVE Courses: These courses offer a real-time, interactive learning environment where teachers and students meet online twice a week. Students also complete assignments outside of class in preparation for these live sessions. Many students typically enroll in 5 to 7 live classes per academic year.
SELF-PACED Courses: These asynchronous courses allow students to learn at their own pace, starting and stopping lessons as needed.
YOU TEACH DIPLOMA (YTD) Courses: These courses are completed under the supervision of a parent, with requirements similar to the Live courses. Assessments are taken as online graded or teacher graded exams, quizzes, and midterm and final exams. While VSA does not provide teaching or tutoring for YTD courses, comments and recommendations may be given.
