Team members can receive up to $10,000 in education assistance per fiscal year for bachelor’s degrees and $15,000 for graduate degrees. Nurse Residency Program

VCU Health provides a comprehensive, evidence-based transition program in partnership with the VCU School of Nursing. This program is designed to prepare newly graduated RNs to be safe, competent, and confident nursing professionals.

The Nurse Residency Program is a one-year program that supports new graduates of all pre-licensure nursing programs. All new graduate nurses receive the tools to reach their full potential to become tomorrow’s nursing leaders at VCU Health.

How to Apply for a Nursing Position at VCU Health

There isn’t a separate application for the Nurse Residency Program. To apply, follow these steps:

  1. Visit careers.vcuhealth.org
  2. Search current Registered Nurse job openings in our online job portal
  3. Create a user account within the online job portal
  4. Apply for a Registered Nurse position

Once you have been selected to interview and have accepted a Registered Nurse position, your enrollment in the Nurse Residency Program is confirmed during your first week at VCU Health.
