Universal Studios Auditions: Your Guide to Performing Opportunities
Universal Studios offers a variety of exciting performance opportunities across its parks and attractions. This article provides a comprehensive guide to the audition process, requirements, and what to expect, drawing directly from information provided by Universal Studios.
General Self-Tape Audition Instructions
For many roles, Universal Studios utilizes self-tape auditions as an initial step. To ensure your self-tape stands out, it's essential to follow these guidelines:
- Content: Learn and record all required elements for your chosen role(s).
- Safety: Perform in a safe area with ample space to move.
- Visuals: Use a well-lit space with a clean white background and wear solid colors that contrast with the background.
- Camera: Set your camera to landscape orientation and use the front-facing camera (no selfies).
- Submission: Do not combine video submissions. Film each role and skill separately, and upload all required tapes simultaneously within 7 days.
Versatility is Key
Universal Studios casting often seeks performers with great versatility, especially for seasonal shows and special events. If you possess skills across multiple disciplines like singing, dancing, acting, or acrobatics, showcase them! However, stick to the listed audition materials; videos of anything outside the specified requirements will not be reviewed.
Registration Process
To audition, you must register online:
- Carefully read through all roles of interest and their specific requirements.
- Select your primary audition category (the one that best describes you). You can indicate interest in other categories during registration.

- Ensure your headshot, full-length shot, and resume files are no larger than 2 MB each.
