GRCC education students who are currently working in a licensed child care facility and are interested in obtaining an early childhood degree are also encouraged to apply for the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood MICHIGAN Scholarship.

GRCC offers a variety of scholarships that can benefit future teachers:

Phyllis Fratzke Child Development Scholarship: This fund provides monies for students enrolled in the Child Development program at GRCC to use for tuition or for childcare at the GRCC Lab Preschool.
Lotte Rachel Peters Arts and Humanities Scholarship: The recipient will be a full-time student who intends to major in literature, writing, fine arts, music, art history, music history, foreign language, or in the teaching of any of these. Preference may be given to students in need of financial assistance.

Janet and David Paasche Scholarship: Scholarship recipients must be enrolled full-time at GRCC, intend to major in business or education, and have attained a 3.0 GPA minimum. Recipients must also intend to work toward a bachelor's degree in business or education and have been employed, full or part-time during the past 12 months. Awards are renewable based upon review of the recipient's academic performance. Grants may also be available for the purchase of required books for classes at GRCC.

Persons who participate in the program but forfeit the award shall be obligated to pay the Commonwealth the full amount of the tuition waivers granted to them.
