Unlocking Your Potential: A Guide to the TCU Chancellor's Scholarship
The Chancellor’s Scholarship at Texas Christian University (TCU) is not just a financial award; it's an investment in future leaders. This comprehensive guide explores the TCU Chancellor Scholarship requirements, offering insights into eligibility, the application process, and what it means to be a Chancellor’s Scholar.
What is the Chancellor's Scholarship?
The Chancellor’s Scholarship is TCU’s most-prestigious scholarship, covering full tuition over eight semesters for first-year students and six semesters for transfer students. However, it’s much more than that. Once on campus, the Chancellor’s Scholars learn and grow together in a community. During their first semester, students attend a leadership retreat together. This begins a four-year process that pushes students to maximize their potential and create opportunities for future leadership. More importantly, however, it’s a program designed to help students get the most out of their college experience and sets them up to lead on after graduation.
Who is Eligible?
The Chancellor’s Scholars selection process is highly competitive. Ultimately, roughly 50 of TCU's 20,000 applicants will enroll as Chancellor’s Scholars each fall. These students hail from 21 different states and represent each degree-granting college on campus.
First-Year Applicants
For first-year applicants, the John V. Roach Honors College application is the gateway to consideration for the Chancellor's Scholarship.
Transfer Applicants
Transfer applicants must have a 3.85 cumulative GPA and be on track to earn 60 transferable hours by the time of enrollment at TCU. These hours can be in progress. AP courses taken in high school do not count toward the 60 transferable hours. Transfer awards are based on GPA and transferrable hours. We also award Transfer Chancellor’s Scholarships to four incoming transfer students each year.
