From alternative education programs to workforce preparation and tuition reduction scholarships, SCOE collaborates with various institutions to support students and working adults in achieving their academic and professional goals.
Alternative Education Programs in Sonoma County
Sonoma County Alternative Education Programs are not currently ranked in the National Rankings. Additionally, Sonoma County Adult Education Programs provide free short-term classes and clinics designed to build practical skills and support career and personal growth. These opportunities are available to anyone interested and are offered outside of SRJC, so participants do not need to be registered SRJC students.
Teacher Leadership Program
The Teacher Leadership Program consists of 120 hours of instruction in four semester-long modules, culminating in a capstone experience. This capstone is designed to address a problem of practice in a teacher leader’s own educational context, requiring a minimum of 20 hours of independent implementation work. Courses typically meet four times over a semester for intensive two-day classes, often scheduled on weekends to accommodate the schedules of working teachers.
