Enabling Cheats in The Sims 4

Before diving into specific cheats, it's essential to know how to enable them:

Open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on your PC or Mac.
Type testingcheats true in the text field.
Press Enter. A message will confirm that cheats are enabled.

General Cheats for Live Mode

These cheats can help you manage your Sims' needs, aspirations, and overall well-being:

resetsim [firstname lastname]: Resets a Sim who is stuck.
sims.give_satisfaction_points [#]: Gives a Sim a specified amount of satisfaction points in their Aspirations panel.
fillmotive motive_[motive]: Fills the specified motive (Bladder, Energy, Fun, Hunger, Hygiene, Social).
fillmotive motive_toddler_attention: Specifically for toddlers, refills their social need ("attention").

Enrolling and Joining Organizations

With testingcheats true enabled, Shift + Click on your Sim, and choose Pack Cheats > Expansion Packs > EP08 University > University Debug Menu > Enroll to University.
To enable organization cheats, Shift + Click on your Sim, and choose Pack Cheats > Expansion Packs > EP08 University > University Debug Menu > Enable Organization Cheats. Reopen the same menu to pick which organization to join.

Increasing Organization Level

These cheats increase your level in the organization. To reach level 2, input 166 for X.

stats.set_stat RankedStatistic_CollegeOrganization_Progress_Debate 166 to set Debate guild to Rank 2 (166 is the break point), 333 for rank 3.

University Degrees

Degrees in Sims 4 are broken down into 4 groups:

Standard
Standard with Honors
Distinguished
Distinguished with Honors

In-game, you can tell the difference between standard and distinguished because standard is gray while distinguished is gold. Distinguished with Honors is the highest level of degree you can get.

Another way Degrees are separated is through BS and BA Degrees.

Missing Degrees

Three "missing degrees" are focused more on sims hobbies than on education. They are related to the Soccer Team, E-Sports, and Mixology Classes.

TwistedMexi's All Cheats Mod

There are a ton of cheats that can be used with TwistedMexi's All Cheats Mod. The commands all start with University.

University.Finish_Term: This one will instantly finish the term and allow you to sign up for another.
University.Graduate: Instantly makes you a graduate with current or perfect GPA.
University.Award_all_Degrees: Gives your Sim every degree.

Granting Distinguished Degrees

Use Traits.Equip_Trait to add the degree to your Sim (they're simply traits, but have their own special slot on your Simology panel).

Every BA comes from Britechester, and every BS comes from Foxbury. For Arts schools (anything Britechester) the best degree is going to be a BA Honors while for tech and sciences the best will be BS Honors.

Skill Cheats

To max out your Sim's skills or set them to a particular level, use the following cheat:

Substitute the skill code and the desired skill level. For example:

stats.set_skill_level Major_Writing 10

For child Sims, use:

Skill_Child_[Creativity/Mental/Motor/Social]

All child skills max out at level 10.

Discover University introduces two new skills: Research and Debate and Robotics Skill.

Career Cheats

After your Sims are skilled up, you can also give them free promotions or add new careers.

Use careers.add_career [career] to add careers with their career code.

careers.promote [career] and careers.remove [career] work similarly to get a promotion or remove your Sim's job.

Discover University comes with three new Careers. First, there's Engineering which has a Computer and Mechanical Engineering branch. Law has Judge and Private Attorney branches, while Education has Administrative and Professor branches.

Occult Sim Cheats

Several different Sims 4 expansions have added different types of occult Sims.

Adventure Awaits

On top of the new traits for Archery, Diving, Entymology, and Papercraft (which you can find in our traits section at the bottom of this page), the Adventure Awaits expansion also added Sim preferences for each of these traits. Meaning a Sim can either like or dislike them. Using the code trait_simpreference_likes_activities_ or trait_simpreference_dislikes_activities_ before each trait activates these cheats.

If you have the Enchanted by Nature expansion pack, you can use the stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_FairyOccult_FairyXP [#] cheat to grant your Sim some instant Fairy XP. Just remember to replace the '#' with the amount of XP you want. We recommend setting it to 5,000 to max your Fairy rank.

You can also use stats.set_stat commodity_BalanceSys_BalanceAxis [#] to set a Sims's Balance level, and stats.set_stat statistic_LuckSys_Luck [#] to set a Sim's Luck level. Again, just replace '#' with the number you want. Both levels fall between -100 and 100.

Additionally, along with the three main traits added to Enchanted by Nature (which are listed in the dedicated traits section below), the expansion also added some Fairy-specific reward traits to add more flavor to a Sims's background, but they can also let you cheat your way through quests.

death.toggle [true/false] To save your Sims from death entirely
In the Sims 4 Vampire expansion, you can kill your fanged sims with stats.set_stat commodity_Vampire_SunExposure -100.

For all your other deadly designs, use the following trait codes to turn your Sim into a ghost who has been died in the respective manner with the code: traits.equip_trait [trait]
