Cost-Saving Options

Follett provides a variety of cost-saving options for students. Cost-saving print options include used books, as well as Follett’s text-rental program, which saves students up to 80 percent compared to purchasing new materials. Follett also delivers a variety of digital-learning technologies that help promote anywhere, anytime access to needed materials. New store services include Follett’s year-round buyback program and price match, which helps ensure students get their materials at the lowest cost possible.

A typical campus tour lasts approximately 90 minutes, not including your selected presentation, activity, or lunch. Shepherd University is a small, walkable campus, and all tours are walking tours. Visitors are welcome to photograph and record video of campus property for personal or educational use.

Elementary and Middle School Groups (Grades K-7): Young learners who are just beginning their career exploration journey will enjoy a relaxed, interactive visit experience. Games Zone: The Student Center’s Games Zone features bowling lanes, billiards, foosball, and more. Dining Options

Groups may enjoy lunch at Ram’s Den, Shepherd’s all-you-care-to-eat dining hall. Individual payment option: $10.70 per person when guests pay individually. Students are also welcome to bring packed lunches.

Important Considerations for Group Visits

To ensure a safe and positive experience, chaperones - whether teachers, staff, or parents - are highly encouraged for all group visits. Groups will be divided into smaller sections for tours. We ask that each smaller group include at least one chaperone. Buses may drop off students at either Ikenberry Hall or the Student Center on N. King Street, depending on the itinerary. Shepherd University upholds a student code of conduct to ensure a safe, respectful, and orderly campus environment. Please encourage students and chaperones to wear comfortable clothing and sensible walking shoes. You will receive a dedicated admissions representative as your point of contact for planning and for on-site support the day of your visit.
