This article serves as a comprehensive guide to the various resources and support systems offered by SARC, with a focus on utilizing WordPress and other platforms to maximize your learning potential.

Peer Tutoring: Learning from Fellow Students
SARC provides free small group peer tutoring to students enrolled in a variety of undergraduate courses offered each semester at UCF. With a tutorial staff of 35-40 peer tutors per semester, SARC offers assistance for over 300 hours per week at its tutoring labs. These facilities include the SARC location at TCH 117 and the CECS location at Engineering I Room 281. All students are welcome to attend any session at any lab.
If you don’t see a subject being offered at one location, check the other facility calendars to find a session that suits your needs.
One-on-one peer tutoring is also available for students enrolled in a variety of undergraduate courses.

Supplemental Instruction (SI): Mastering Challenging Courses
Supplemental Instruction (SI) offers a series of weekly study sessions for students enrolled in historically challenging courses. Led by SI Leaders, students who have previously excelled in the course, these sessions provide collaborative environments to deepen understanding of course material and develop effective study strategies. SI Leaders attend the classes they support, ensuring they are well-versed in current content and expectations.
SI Leader Perspectives
Diego, a pre-dental student majoring in Health Sciences on the Pre-Clinical Track, shares his experience as an SI Leader: "This is going to be my fifth semester supporting Human Anatomy. I took this class during the spring semester of my first year, and I loved it! It can be a challenging course, so make sure you are consistent and use ALL of your resources to be successful. I will be posting many supplemental resources, so make sure to check them out! Best of luck, and I hope you all enjoy!"
Utilizing SI Resources
Each individual SI Leader has a WordPress page. This is the place to find bonus materials created and posted by your SI leader, including review sheets, study guides, and handouts for your SI class.
If you are enrolled in a course currently supported by SI , you will also have been enrolled in a SARC webcourse corresponding to your subject. The homepage of the SARC webcourse for your subject.

Academic Coaching and Engagement (ACE): Developing Essential Skills
The Academic Coaching and Engagement (ACE) Program facilitates academic success among UCF students by providing one-on-one, ongoing peer coaching. Academic coaches help students develop important academic and life skills such as organization, time management, study skills, and goal setting, which are necessary to ensure satisfactory academic progress.
ACE coaches are available to meet with students regularly throughout the semester to provide students the opportunity to check in on their progress, stay accountable for the goals and action plans devised in previous sessions, and become more engaged in campus life and organizations. You can find more information on the ACE coaching site.
In the ACE program, peer consultants help students develop important academic and life skills such as organization, time management, study skills, online learning, and goal setting.
ACE Program Drop-in Hours During Study Union
Take advantage of the Peer Knights Academic Coaching & Engagement (ACE) program drop-in hours offered during Study Union. ACE Coaches work with students individually online or in-person to provide them with strategies for success on their final exams. Once you join the event, the session information will be generated.
Academic Success Workshops: Enhancing Your Learning Strategies
Each semester, the Student Academic Resource Center (SARC) offers all UCF students the opportunity to enhance their learning and study skills through a series of Academic Success Workshops. Topics include test preparation, time management, textbook reading, note-taking, and more.
The College Level Study Skills Inventory will assist in providing students immediate feedback on their current approach to college level study skills. There are six critical study skills college students need to consistently be developing: text book reading, note taking, memory, test preparation, concentration, and time management. At the conclusion of the inventory, each of these skills will be assessed based on the manner in which the questions were answered.
Study Union: Ace Your Finals
Study Union is a UCF tradition offering free, peer-led final exam review sessions to help students prepare with confidence. Before and during final exam week, the Student Academic Resource Center partners with the Student Union and the Parent and Family Fund to host multiple final exam review sessions in-person and online spanning a variety of academic subjects. Each subject session is led by a Peer Tutor or Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader.
To attend a virtual session, students must register through Penji. Download the UCF mobile app for the complete Study Union schedule go to the Study Union Schedule page or click HERE for the PDF.
