Eligibility and Resources

To utilize the services of Basic Needs at the Den and schedule appointments with their team, students must be enrolled in at least one course in the current semester (Fall/Spring/Summer). The following resources are available through the center: food, clothing, and hygiene resources. Starting Fall 2025, students will be required to schedule appointments to utilize the food, clothing, and hygiene resources.

A hold code on a student account may prevent a student from enrolling in classes. Below is a list of the most common hold codes and instructions on how to resolve them:

  4. P. E. Fine: Go to the Student Payment Office to pay the fine and have the hold removed. To dispute the fine, contact the P. E. Office Women's: (949) 582-4550 Men's: (949) 582-4559. Driving Directions

  • From the I-5 Freeway: Exit at Avery Parkway in Mission Viejo and head East. Pass through Marguerite Parkway and up a small hill to enter the campus on your left. Turn right on Campus Drive East and follow it around to the athletic facilities. The stadium will be on your immediate left.
  • From the 241 Toll Road (Southbound): Exit at Oso Parkway and turn right. Follow Oso Parkway for about two miles, turning left on Marguerite Parkway. Follow Marguerite Parkway for about two miles, turning left into the campus at Medical Center Way. Once on campus, turn left at the first stop sign onto Campus Drive East, then turn right at the second stop sign. The tennis courts and baseball field will be on the left; the pool, gym, and then the stadium on your right.
  • From the 73 Toll Road (Southbound): Take the Crown Valley/Greenfield exit and turn right. Make a left on Crown Valley, pass over the I-5 freeway, then turn right on Medical Center Way. Follow Medical Center Way up the hill past the hospital, and the entrance to campus is straight ahead. Once on campus, turn left at the first stop sign onto Campus Drive East, then turn right at the second stop sign. You will see the tennis courts and baseball field on the left; the pool, gym then the stadium on your right.

Arriving by Bus

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has two north-south bus routes that stop at Saddleback College: Route 85 (Mission Viejo to Laguna Niguel) and Route 91 (Laguna Hills to San Clemente). The campus bus stop is at the bottom of a hill at the College Drive entrance that ends in a roundabout adjacent to Lot 13. Saddleback College and OCTA have a special bus ride pass program available. MV Shuttle, a local service for Mission Viejo area residents, also has a stop at Saddleback College (same as the bus stop area) and many other city destinations for free, Monday through Friday (except holidays).

Parking Information

Parking permits are required Monday through Sunday at all times. Day parking permits can be purchased for $5 at the following parking permit machine locations:

  • North end of Lot 10
  • North end of Lot 5A
  • East end of Lot 5B near the tennis courts and baseball field
  • Lot 4 in front of the campus pool
  • Lot 1 (from Avery Parkway entry) across from the football stadium
