Launch Your Career: Relativity Space Internship Opportunities
Relativity Space is not just building rockets; it's shaping the future of space travel. Their Terran R vehicle is poised to meet the growing demand for launch capacity, delivering customer payloads to orbit and beyond. Joining Relativity means becoming part of a team where autonomy, ownership, and impact are integral at every level. Here, you're actively involved in solving problems and helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether your expertise lies in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shaping decisions, and seeing your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories they’re writing together.
Now is a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting.
Opportunities at Relativity Space
Relativity Space offers a range of internship opportunities across various departments. These internships are designed to provide hands-on experience and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies.
Vehicle Transport and Recovery Internship
The Cape launch site team is responsible for the execution of vehicle, payload, pad, transport, and recovery operations. As an intern focused on vehicle transport and recovery, you will be helping to develop the technical foundation for Relativity’s Transport and Recovery team responsible for critical road and waterborne transportation and the recovery of the Terran R first stage. This internship offers the chance to contribute to the logistical and operational aspects of space launches, focusing on the safe and efficient transport and recovery of the Terran R vehicle.
Vehicle Software Team Internship
The Vehicle Software team develops the safety-critical software that runs on Terran R. The work spans a distributed, real-time control system operating under extreme conditions like Mach 5 atmospheric flight, with a deployment pace that allows you to see your code run on rocket engines daily. The team is building new system architecture from the ground up and just as importantly, testing, releasing, and deploying it. You don’t need an aerospace background: what matters is experience with high-reliability software for complex systems.
