PNC Bank Services at Penn State University: A Comprehensive Guide
PNC Bank and The Pennsylvania State University (PSU) have established a partnership to provide financial services to students, faculty, and staff. This collaboration aims to streamline banking processes and offer convenient access to financial resources for the Penn State community. PNC Bank serves as the exclusive financial services provider in conjunction with the Penn State id+ Card Office, which issues the university's official campus identification cards.
Integration with Penn State id+ Card
PNC Bank simplifies banking by allowing Penn State id+ Card holders to use their existing campus card for banking transactions. The id+ Card is used for various campus-related activities, including entering residence halls, accessing library materials, and utilizing meal plans. By integrating banking functionality into the id+ Card, PNC Bank offers a unified and convenient solution for the Penn State community.
ATM Network Expansion
PNC Bank is committed to enhancing accessibility to its services by expanding its ATM network on Penn State campuses. As part of the agreement, PNC Bank will install ATMs on 11 Penn State campuses. The University Park campus will receive four additional ATMs, bringing the total number of PNC Bank ATMs on that campus to 10. This expansion ensures that students, faculty, and staff have convenient access to cash and other banking services throughout the university system.
On-Campus Customer Service
To provide personalized support and assistance, PNC Bank operates a customer service area within the Penn State id+ Card Office on the University Park campus. This on-site service center enables students, faculty, and staff to open accounts, ask questions, link their id+ cards to PNC Bank accounts, and obtain personal identification numbers (PINs) for their cards. The presence of a dedicated customer service area demonstrates PNC Bank's commitment to providing accessible and responsive support to the Penn State community.

Important Considerations

Surcharge fees not identified within the transaction by the originating financial institution may not be reimbursed.
- Zelle®: Zelle® should only be used to send or receive money with people you know and trust using a U.S. mobile phone number. Neither PNC nor Zelle® offers purchase protection for payments made with Zelle® - for example, if you do not receive the item you paid for, or the item is not as described or as you expected. Transactions typically occur in minutes between enrolled users. If the recipient has not enrolled, the payment will expire after 14 calendar days. See the PNC Zelle Terms of Use for additional terms and conditions.
