The Philadelphia Phillies offer a variety of internship opportunities for students and recent graduates looking to gain experience in the sports industry. These internships span various departments, providing valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the inner workings of a professional baseball organization.
All-Star Week Internship
In July 2026, Major League Baseball and the Philadelphia Phillies will host the 96th MLB All-Star Game. Two All-Star Week Interns will assist in overseeing the All-Star Week Experience Team Program, which includes managing approximately 500 team members who will work at Capital One All-Star Village and support various other events throughout the week. This internship offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a major sporting event and develop leadership and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- Availability to work a 5-day work week (including extended hours and a few weekends as needed) for the duration of this assignment.
NBC Sports Philadelphia Internship
NBC Sports Philadelphia, the home of Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers LIVE event production, offers internships for individuals interested in the production side of sports broadcasting. These internships provide exposure to live event production, digital platforms, and the technical aspects of broadcasting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the producer/director and associate producer in pre-production, in-game production, and post-game production.
- Observe and assist each and every position on the production crew in the production facility and throughout the ballpark.
- Assist broadcasters in daily tasks and preparations during pre/post and in-game production.
- Learn and participate within the technical side of the production as well as the developmental side of the production.
- Perform daily statistical research.
- Be involved in the archiving and retrieval of current and past footage and highlights.
- Interact with many different departments of the Phillies Baseball Organization on a daily basis.
- Assist in moving production equipment from Citizens Bank Ballpark to our facilities at the Wells Fargo Center.
Qualifications:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- If selected for an in-person internship, must be willing to work in Philadelphia, PA.
- Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
- A strong interest in production and working LIVE events.
- Someone who is ready to learn and observe to improve their knowledge of the industry firsthand.
- Someone who wants to work with others as a team in all areas with one goal of progress each day.
- An individual who is able to work weekdays, weekends, early mornings and late nights.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
Player Development Internship
The Philadelphia Phillies also offer an entry-level Player Development internship. This role will work closely with the Manager, Player Development and various stakeholders in the PD department. The position will be based out of Clearwater, FL. A strong candidate will provide a diverse perspective and administrative support to our PD group.
