Margo J. Martin is a dedicated professional with 26 years of experience in the field of substance abuse. A graduate of Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, she has been employed at Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries Christian Guidance Center since 2007, currently serving as the Building Director.
Her extensive career includes work in various programs focused on prevention, treatment, and recovery services. She has previously worked with organizations such as the Salvation Army, Doorsteps Shelter, Project Life Methadone Clinic, and Herman Kiefer in the access department for substance abuse services.
Margo J. Martin's commitment extends to community service. She served as a volunteer probation officer in Oak Park District, providing support to probationers aged 18-25 who were arrested for offenses such as marijuana possession, operating while intoxicated (OWI), and shoplifting.
Currently, she coordinates intakes for inmates at Dickerson Jail, offering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), marijuana education, and utilizing the Matrix Model for Criminal Justice Crime and Consequences. She also assists judges at the Third Circuit Court in enrolling participants in substance abuse treatment as an alternative to incarceration.

Margo Martin: From Trump's Office to Political Action Committee
After Joe Biden's inauguration, another Margo Martin transitioned to West Palm Beach, Florida, to assist outgoing President Donald Trump in his transition process. In February, she became the lead press secretary for Trump's office. By July, she had taken on the role of deputy director of communications for Save America, Trump's political action committee.
During her time working for Trump, Martin routinely taped interviews he gave for books written about him. One particular interview, conducted in July, revealed that Trump was aware a document in his possession was not declassified. This recording became significant, as it was obtained by federal prosecutors in the Smith special counsel investigation.
As a result of her involvement, Martin and her devices were subpoenaed, and she appeared before a grand jury in March 2023.
Her close association with Donald Trump has garnered media attention, with some outlets noting her presence alongside figures like Elon Musk and Tiffany Trump, as well as her travels on Trump's private jet.

Dr. Margo L. Martin is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the urban, multi-campus community college environment. She joined the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) in July 2017 as Vice President for Academic Affairs and served as Acting President from February 2018 through August 2018. Currently, she holds the position of Chief Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness Officer.

A Texas native, Dr. Martin holds a double-major bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate in English and Earth Science from Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) in Nacogdoches, Texas. She also earned a master’s degree in English from SFASU and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
Since joining CSN, Dr. Martin has focused on student success and completion, assessment, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and community engagement. She is interested in leveraging technology to improve organizational communication and efficiency and to facilitate effective teaching and learning, especially in the context of the pandemic.
Dr. Martin collaborates with CSN’s southern Nevada community partners in education, including the Clark County School District, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Nevada State College.
Prior to her role at CSN, Dr. Martin served Florida State College at Jacksonville (formerly Florida Community College at Jacksonville) from 1989 to 2017 in various positions, including dean of liberal arts, dean of arts and sciences, dean of academic engagement, and associate provost.
She has expressed her enthusiasm for working with students, faculty, and staff to keep CSN engaged with the community, building upon the work initiated by retiring President Mike Richards.

The College of Southern Nevada, founded in 1971, is the state’s largest and most ethnically diverse higher education institution. CSN is accredited through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and offers two-year degrees and workforce development programs, as well as five bachelor’s degrees in specialized fields. Margo Martin serves as the Chief Customer Officer at Deltek, where she is responsible for the company's global customer operations and strategy. She leads Deltek's customer experience strategy, encompassing consulting, customer education & enablement, customer support, and customer success.
Her mission is to strengthen customer relationships by delivering a seamless and impactful end-to-end journey for Deltek customers, ensuring they maximize their Deltek investment. Margo has over 20 years of experience supporting and ensuring the success of Deltek’s customers in various senior positions.
Prior to becoming Chief Customer Officer, Margo was the Group Vice President of Customer Success, and she served as the Vice President of Customer Success for Deltek’s SaaS products and the Vice President of Global Support. In her role as VP of Global Support, she led the team responsible for Deltek’s J.D. Power: Excellence in Support Award.
Margo has successfully built many global customer-facing and cross functional teams. She is a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
