Applying to LSC-Online is fast and easy through the GoApplyTexas application. Enrolling for classes at LSC-Online is now easier than ever through the MyLoneStar.edu portal.
LSC-Online offers small class sizes so students can receive a more personalized educational experience. In terms of course load, students at LSC-Online have the option of taking between one and six courses each semester (depending on the number of credit hours in each course). LSC-Online students must follow the semester course outline and assignment due dates required by instructors in their course syllabus.
Online students have the option of taking each class in the traditional 16-week semester or in a condensed 8-week semester based on student preference. If you are considering taking an 8-week class, be prepared to hit the ground running. Although the amount of time spent on an online course varies by individuals as well as subjects, the recommendation is that students should plan about two hours of study time for each credit hour taken. For example, a student enrolled in 12 credit hours can expect to spend about 24 hours studying each week.
