How to Check Your SAT Scores: A Comprehensive Guide
The SAT is over, the pencils are down, and a nervous excitement hangs in the air. You’ve poured months of studying into those multiple-choice bubbles, and now you know the score will be out there soon. Checking your SAT scores can be a nerve-wracking but also rewarding experience. It’s the culmination of months of preparation, and the moment you see those numbers, it can be a pivotal turning point in your college journey. Well, checking your SAT scores is easier than acing that perfect reading passage.
Accessing Your Scores Online
Once your SAT scores are released, you can access them online through your College Board account. Scores are typically released 3-6 weeks after your test date, so it’s better to resist the urge to frantically refresh your College Board account. Once the release date arrives, the fun begins! To access your scores online, head over to your College Board account. Once logged in, your most recent score will be displayed prominently, along with a link to your detailed report. This report is your map to understanding your performance.

This is a sample score report. Your downloaded report will be very similar, with your name and testing date printed on it. Don’t get caught up in simply comparing your numbers to others. Instead, focus on understanding your strengths and weaknesses. See which sections you aced and which ones might need a little extra attention.

Using My Practice
If you're signed into Bluebook with a College Board account, you can use the same credentials to sign in to My Practice and view your scores from our full-length practice tests, along with your official scores from any assessment in the SAT Suite. If you sign in to Bluebook with sign-in credentials from your school, you can also see your practice scores and access additional practice resources in My Practice. Please note that these sign-in credentials expire after 90 days, so you won't be able to access My Practice to view your scores once your credentials have expired.
College Board Accounts and Registration
If you’re testing in your school, you do not need a personal College Board student account to register for or take the test. If you're testing on the weekend, you will need to create a personal College Board student account in order to register. Creating a personal College Board student account also provides you with access to personalized content for multiple programs and services.
Free Official Practice Resources
You can access many of our free, official practice resources without an account. The Official SAT Prep, our free, interactive course, is available on Khan Academy® to help students focus on the exact skills they need to succeed on the test. Students can visit satpractice.org to prepare for every section of the SAT with guidance from Khan Academy’s team of math, reading, and writing experts.

Access for Institutions
In the online reporting portal, you can download official score reports from students who sent you scores, adjust score reporting preferences, and access score-send trend reports. We’ll review your request and grant the needed access to your institution’s reporting portal. We'll also set you up as your institution’s Access Manager so you can provide reporting portal access to other colleagues at your institution.
