Finance Coordinator (Remote - Contiguous United States)

NCG is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to support day-to-day financial operations. This role collaborates closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance, managing accounts, supporting audits, and assisting with accounts payable and receivables.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support credit risk management activities related to the operations of the National Risk Management Committee.
  • Maintain Excel-based tracking files, dashboards, and reports for leadership and committee review.
  • Serve as an administrator for NCG's accounts with state and local authorities, including payroll tax, unemployment tax, other state/local personnel taxes, workers compensation, paid family medical leave and income tax accounts. Ensure timely setup, maintenance, filings, and payments to state agencies in coordination with internal teams and external partners. Submit payment documentation for proper accounting. Monitor compliance requirements and escalate risks or issues as needed.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of NCG's organizational insurance policies, including certificates of insurance and renewals. Create annual insurance reconciliation. Serve as an administrative contact for brokers, third-party administrations, and other insurance vendors. Support worker's compensation audits and reporting for any state policies.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other routine finance operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, business, operations, or administrative support roles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (creating and maintaining templates, using formulas, managing workbooks, and cleaning/sorting data) and Word (creating and maintaining templates), with the ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and applications as needed.
  • Understanding of financial, HR, or compliance systems.
  • Understanding of internal controls, audit support, and documentation standards.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in data.
  • Ability to take clear meeting notes and facilitate follow-up items.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits, accruals, financial statements).
