Navigating Guild Education: A Comprehensive Guide to Contact Information, Resources, and Support

Guild Education partners with numerous organizations to provide educational opportunities for working adults. This article serves as a comprehensive guide to accessing Guild Education's resources, understanding eligibility, and finding the necessary contact information to navigate your educational journey successfully. It covers key aspects such as initial steps, sponsorship letters, Purdue Global enrollment, financial aid, and eligibility checks.

Initial Steps and Support

When embarking on your educational journey through Guild Education, several initial steps are crucial. Upon applying to SPC (presumably St. Petersburg College, based on context), you are assigned a Career and Academic Advisor. Your Advisor’s name and contact information are located in the bottom left-hand corner of MySPC. Scheduling an appointment with your advisor is essential, with appointments typically available up to two weeks before the term begins.

For Purdue Global (PG), after submitting your application with Guild, you can expect a call from a PG admissions officer within a few days. If you do not hear from them, feel free to call them at 1-877-491-0229.

For general inquiries or assistance, it is advisable to contact Guild support directly. This is particularly important for checking your eligibility for company education benefits. You can sign into your Guild account and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner.

Understanding Sponsorship Letters

Once you have applied to SPC, enrolled in classes, and completed the SPC Guild Survey, you'll need to apply for a Sponsorship Letter, which informs SPC how much tuition your employer will cover.

To do this, log in to sponsorship.guildeducation.com. After completing the survey, an e-form will be added as a checklist item to your To Do list in MySPC. Note that the signed Sponsorship Letter must be scanned and attached to the e-form.

It is important to apply for a Sponsorship Letter and submit it to SPC each time you enroll in classes or if you change your class schedule. The amount of funding listed on your Sponsorship Letter will cover tuition, fees, and book charges that remain after all financial aid is applied.

Per Guild, all qualified scholarships and grants awarded to the student will be applied to the account balance first, and then employer funding will cover any remaining balance.

After the term ends, you'll share your outcomes with Guild, including final grades and cumulative GPA for degree programs, or proof of completion for certificates or similar non-degree programs. Submit outcomes as soon as possible after the term end date.

Purdue Global (PG) Enrollment Process

Applying to PG involves several steps. You’ll have to complete a short application to apply to PG, and it’s important to connect with your PG admissions counselor to complete the process.

Transcripts are generally not required for admission to PG. However, if you’ve received college credits in the past and would like to transfer them, submit unofficial transcripts as part of your application. Official transcripts must be submitted before the end of your first term. Note that transcripts are required for graduate programs. For graduate degree enrollment, students can submit unofficial Bachelor Degree Completion (BDC) transcripts that show the college name, cumulative GPA, and the date of conferment of the bachelor's program.

For students with international transcripts (i.e., foreign credentials), additional requirements apply. A foreign credential evaluation of your transcripts may be required and, if applicable, must be sent directly to PG from the credential agency. Confirm requirements with a PG Admissions Officer before paying out of pocket for an evaluation and/or exam.

Financial Aid and FAFSA

Gather important documents and complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. The Federal School Code for Purdue Global is 004586. If you have questions, feel free to call the Student Accounts team at 954-958-6201.

Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging/awarding process, and acceptance of any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted, they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. For questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, consult Guild support. For questions about financial aid, contact your learning provider's financial aid office.

Eligibility and Enrollment Restrictions

Before classes start, ensure you’re still eligible for your company’s education benefits. Sign into your Guild account and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. Please contact Guild support for additional assistance.

To ensure academic success and prevent unexpected out-of-pocket expenses in partially funded programs, PG restricts enrollment to a maximum of 2 courses per 10-week term (Tracks A, B, and C) or 1 course per 6-week session (Track E).

Communication with Purdue Global

You will receive regular notifications from Purdue Global regarding your account. In rare instances, these notifications can indicate an issue with your eligibility for your education benefit. Ensure you are tagged as a Guild student with the school and continue to meet your employer's eligibility requirements.
