Financial Aid Process

Apply for Admission: Complete an application for admission to George Fox University.

This will allow the office to include the anticipated scholarship on your financial aid offer and decrease the amount due to Student Accounts at the beginning of the semester. You are required to report any outside scholarship(s) to the Financial Aid office. Instruct the scholarship committee to include your name and George Fox University ID number on the check.
Apply Annually: You must apply for financial aid annually.

Richter Scholars Program: Enables graduate students to receive funding for independent research projects conducted in partnership with a faculty mentor. Students may apply for the Richter Scholar program during their first or second year in the PsyD program.
Federal TEACH Grant: The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education grant program provides up to $4,000 per year to eligible students and does not have to be repaid unless the student fails to carry out service obligations. If a student fails to complete the requirements, they must repay the TEACH Grant as a Direct Unsubsidized Loan with interest accrued from the date the grant was disbursed.

Scholarship applicantstions must be a student member of the AAPA and meet specific eligibility requirements. Additional criteria/requirements apply to individual scholarship awards.
- The Oregon Medical Education Foundation's Leadership Scholarship was launched to recognize the leadership talent and potential of students pursuing a medical education in Oregon. This competitive scholarship is awarded to at least one PA, one DO, and one MD student each year. Scholars may be selected to receive additional supports, such as a mentor. This scholarship aims to identify and support students at the intersection of financial need and leadership development, who have a track record of community impact and who, if financial or other obstacles were removed, would be able to achieve more and faster.
