The EWU Library Catalog lists over 900 eEncyclopedias. These encyclopedias cover a wide range of subjects and can be accessed online.

Open Access Ebooks

The library provides access to over 6,000 Open Access ebooks from 75+ publishers, including Brill, Cornell University Press, De Gruyter, and University of California Press. 1,141 titles are available at this time thanks to "MUSE Open, an initiative supported by a grant from the Mellon Foundation, enables Project MUSE to distribute selected OA books in browser-native HTML5 format, with enhanced functionality. These open-access books can be freely accessed and used by anyone.

HathiTrust Digital Library

EWU provides access to a collection of 19+ million digitized books and publications from major academic libraries, through the HathiTrust Digital Library.

American Newspapers, 1690-1789

The library provides access to around 160 American newspapers published from the early Colonial period to the Articles of Confederation, 1690-1789. This database is courtesy of a donation from Dr. This collection provides valuable insights into the history of the United States.

Nineteenth-Century Native American Tribal Documents

The library allows users to explore nineteenth-century primary source documents on 1,046 Native American tribes. The content is largely from the National Archives and Records Administration's records from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Can narrow by Tribe Name, Treaty, Event, etc. This database is courtesy of a donation from Dr. This database provides valuable insights into the history and culture of Native American tribes.
