The BSN Online Option is permitted in the following states: AK, AL, AR, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV and WY.
Clinical Locations
Chamberlain University makes every effort to place students within 100 miles of the zip codes below and/or as geographically accessible as possible to achieve program outcomes. Clinical sites for students in the BSN Online Option are currently only offered in select, approved states. Students enrolled in the BSN Online Option should note that significant travel may be required to complete clinical learning experiences.
California Requirements
Students planning to apply for licensure as a registered nurse in California and students located in California must enroll in the version of the BSN curriculum consisting of 126 credit hours. Related to the BSN-OL option, while the California Board of Registered Nursing does not approve programs located outside California, and the Chamberlain BSN online program is located outside the state of California, the 126 credit hour curriculum plan is designed to meet the California Board of Registered Nursing educational requirements for licensure. Note that students residing in California and/or who plan to apply for licensure as a registered nurse in California who enroll in the BSN Online option will be required to complete the clinical portion of the program in a state other than California, which will require travel outside the state for all in-person components including but not limited to clinical coursework and lab/skills immersion experiences.
