Responsibilities:

  • Serving as a safety representative for the supply chain, assisting the EHS Manager in coordinating and implementing assigned safety programs.
  • Assisting with conducting Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) for various tasks and positions throughout the distribution center.
  • Participating in the development, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of safety, health, and hazardous materials and waste policies, practices, and procedures throughout the supply chain facilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety programs and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Supporting regular audits of the supply chain operations, including facilities, machinery, and safety equipment, to identify and remediate potential compliance issues, safety risks, and other opportunities for better safety practices.
  • Conducting analysis and preparing recommendations for injury prevention, safety costs, and initiatives.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to support supply chain safety training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and the use of safety equipment.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Environmental Health Sciences, Public Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or similarly related field).
  • Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree between December 2026 and August 2027.
  • Knowledge of current Federal and OSHA requirements.
  • Certified or ability to be certified in CPR/First Aid/AEDs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the buying team of one of our divisions in merchandise selection, negotiation, and pricing.
  • Assisting in planning/coordination of availability of products for advertising and promotion.
  • Assisting in assortment and category planning that meets customer demand.
  • Preparing trend boards for strategy meetings by researching trends to plan for seasonal buys.
  • Updating and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Traveling to market visits 1-2 days per week to visit vendors and assist in selecting and negotiating product that meets customer demands and is priced competitively.
  • Participating in competitive shopping visits and assist in identifying product opportunities, labels, and trends.

Assistant Buyer Development Program

This 12-week, hands-on program develops off-price merchants through mentorship, development classes, competitive shopping, and market visits. Assistant Buyers leverage their trend knowledge, passion for product, and relationship-building skills to deliver the best products and values for Burlington's customers. With buying offices in New Jersey, New York City, and Los Angeles, this role offers exciting opportunities to advance in retail hubs across the United States.

Allocation Analyst Development Program

This program offers 12 weeks of comprehensive training to ensure analysts can effectively identify risks and opportunities within their business areas. Allocation Analysts utilize their analytical skills and leverage a variety of technology and business intelligence tools to ensure the right products get to Burlington's stores at the right time.

Finance and Accounting Development Program

This two-year rotational program exposes analysts to various areas such as Controllership, Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Tax and Risk Management, and/or Business Support. FADP Analysts support business operations through managing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to make recommendations.

Distribution Center Leadership Development Program

This program supports individuals to reach their full potential through hands-on execution and direct mentorship within one of Burlington's DCs across New Jersey and California.
