Black & Positively Golden Scholarship: Requirements and Opportunities
The Black & Positively Golden Scholarship Program, a collaborative effort between McDonald's USA and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), provides financial assistance to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Historically Black Community Colleges (HBCCs), Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs), and medical and law schools. This initiative reflects McDonald's commitment to education within Black communities.
Overview of the Black & Positively Golden Scholarship Program
The Black & Positively Golden Scholarship Program began in 2020. McDonald’s partnered with TMCF to create the Black & Positively Golden® Scholarship Program in 2021. Sixty scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship of up to $15,000 for the academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet specific criteria to qualify for the Black & Positively Golden Scholarship. These requirements ensure that the scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic potential and a commitment to their community. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
