This pass provides one-time front-of-the-line access to most attractions and shows, significantly reducing wait times. If you're a true thrill-seeker, the Express Unlimited Pass offers unlimited front-of-the-line privileges. For those eager to explore Super Nintendo World, the Early Access Ticket grants access to the area one hour before the park officially opens.

Arriving early is also crucial to maximizing your time. Check the Universal Studios Hollywood app for the most up-to-date opening times, as they can vary throughout the year.

Lower Lot Thrills

Jurassic World-The Ride: A Drenching Adventure

The Jurassic World Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood is the ultimate adventure for thrill-seekers. This ride begins with a gentle lift and then quickly accelerates to speeds of up to 40 miles per hour as it twists, turns, and dips through the track. You’ll weave around lush vegetation, soaring above ancient terrain, and face off with animatronic dinosaurs in life-like scenes.

Be prepared to get soaked, especially if you're in the front row. The final drop is an exhilarating experience. After the ride, take some time to explore the immersive Jurassic World area located nearby.

Revenge of the Mummy-The Ride: An Indoor Thrill

Revenge of the Mummy is an indoor themed coaster that plunges riders into a world of enthralling special effects and remarkable surprises. On this thrilling ride, guests will experience spine-tingling drops, fireballs, and terrifying scarab beetles as they navigate through ancient tombs. The ride is violent and loud, but what a ride! They do a great job of making you feel like you’re moving fast and flying through the adventure.

Transformers: The Ride 3D: A High-Tech Battle

Transformers: The Ride 3D is an action-packed adventure where guests join Optimus Prime and the Autobots in a fight against Megatron and his Decepticons. This incredible 3D ride experience features heat, fog, and water effects to sell the idea that we’re in the middle of a massive battle to save the Allspark and escape Megatron’s forces. Outside of the ride was a real Optimus Prime talking to everyone.

Upper Lot Adventures

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: A Magical Realm

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an immersive experience that transports you into the world of wizardry. The shops are built with so much detail. It was fun looking through all the different wands.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey: A Must-Do

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey remains extremely popular and is a must-do. As you make your way through the queue, you’ll be treated to a detailed narrative about the magical creatures and enchantments found in this beloved world. As you board your enchanted carriage, you’ll wind through this magic world, before soaring over Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, casting spells on unsuspecting villains below (and you’re right along side Harry Potter on a Nimbus 2000). During your journey, you’ll experience exciting drops, spectacular special effects, and encounters with some of the most memorable characters from the films.

Flight of the Hippogriff: A Family-Friendly Coaster

Flight of the Hippogriff is a family-friendly roller coaster that offers a fun, albeit short, ride. The queue includes Hagrid’s Hut and offers excellent views of Hogwarts. As you begin the lift hill, you must bow to the Hippogriff, which is a convincing animatronic. With a top speed of about 28 miles per hour and a height of 42 feet, Flight of the Hippogriff is suitable for most riders and a good starter coaster for young guests.

Ollivanders: An Interactive Attraction

Ollivanders is considered a ride on their app, though it’s more of an interactive attraction. Kids would practice the wand movement, and when they go it right, a flower would blume, music would play, cauldrons would stir and bubble, fire would jut out of chimneys, and much more! The price of the wand all of a sudden felt almost ok. No, it was worth every penny seeing our kids freak out over what they could accomplish. Probably our best money spent at the park.

The Simpsons Ride: A Chaotic Simulator

The Simpsons Ride is a 3D motion simulator ride that whisks guests into a wild and entertaining adventure with the lovable Simpson family. From the moment you step inside, you’ll be surrounded by all your favorite characters from Krustyland, as well as replica buildings inspired by Springfield featured on the show. Once everyone is securely seated and buckled up, you’ll embark on an exciting journey of twists and turns as you virtually explore Krustyland with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie!

WaterWorld: An Action-Packed Stunt Show

WaterWorld is an action-packed live performance that kept us on the edge of our seats. It was adventurous, funny and exhilarating. The stunt performers work regularly in the industry, and hearing their credits at the end of the show reminds us they are at the top of their craft. They’re able to drop from great heights safely while special effects are happening everywhere, including large boats and even a massive plane crash.

Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest

Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest has occupied the DreamWorks Theatre since it replaced Shrek 4-D in 2018. It provides a fun show, though I have to admit that it’s the attraction that I keep forgetting from our day at Universal Hollywood. In the main theater, Jack Black returns as the title character for a quick adventure to Emperor Shifu. This 4-D theater simulates a river ride on roaring rapids; it’s not an intense experience but is another screen-based simulator.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is a motion simulator where guests are shrunk down into Minions and help out Gru and the gang. This attraction felt pretty tame and was a nice change of pace.

Don't Miss

The World-Famous Studio Tour: A Cinematic Journey

The World-Famous Studio Tour is a must-do at Universal Studios Hollywood. There are about 30 film sets and 35 working sound stages here, which have been used since 1915. For the last 60 years, guests of Universal Studios have been able to hop on the Studio Tour tram for a hour-long cinematic journey. During our tour, we traveled around the studio lot, learning about its history and enjoying the countless props, animatronics and special effects used to create some of Hollywood’s most timeless films.

Super Nintendo World

This land is Universal Studios Hollywood’s first area dedicated to Mario, Luigi and friends, and it doesn’t disappoint! It is hard to express how amazing this place is. First things first: hop in line for the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride. Once you’ve experience that, make sure you take a moment to stand back and absorb the sounds and sights of the Mushroom Kingdom. We let the kids roam free, collecting digital coins with their Power-Up Bands and trying to earn their chance to battle with Bowser Jr. Don’t forget to check out the character meet and greets, the 1-UP Factory store, Key Challenges, and more.

Dining

Universal Studios Hollywood offers a variety of dining options to suit every taste. For gluten-free options, Mel's Diner is a good choice. The Three Broomsticks in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter offers hearty meals with vegetarian options. Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen at Universal Citywalk Hollywood is a must-visit for its incredible milkshakes and savory dishes.
