You will work on a research project in a group. There is also an opportunity to work on an independent research project, during which you will develop an AI solution that positively impacts human health. At the end of the program, you will leave with a Certificate of Completion. Final Presentations Each project will conclude with an oral presentation and a written summary. Depending on their progress, some groups may also prepare and submit an abstract to a scientific conference or journal in collaboration with their Stanford mentors. All projects will be featured in a Student Showcase during Stanford Health AI Week (first week of June 2026). Students will present virtually, with the option to share their findings in person if they are able to travel. In-person attendance is optional and self-funded.

Who Can Apply?
The AIMI Stanford Internship is open to high school students (grades 9-12) with an interest in AI, coding, and healthcare. All participants must be enrolled in high school during the 2025-2026 academic year. While prior experience in programming is not required, it is recommended that applicants have basic knowledge of Python and an eagerness to learn about AI.
