Almost half of Kansas’ K-12 students may be eligible for an ACE scholarship, yet many remain stuck in underperforming schools solely due to their zip code. ACE Kansas has provided a solution since launching in 2016. Last year, over 1,900 students applied for an ACE scholarship-but more than 850 were turned away largely due to a lack of funding.

Kansas Tax Credit Program

ACE Scholarships Kansas offers a Tax Credit Program. Invest in Kansas’s kids and receive a 75% tax credit through the Kansas Low Income Student Scholarship Program Tax Credit. Eighty-six percent of every donation to ACE directly funds a child’s scholarship, and the taxpayer receives a 75% state income tax credit, if eligible, through the Kansas Low Income Student Scholarship Program for this donation.

A Student's Success Story: Matthew

Matthew is in 4th grade and he enjoys math and science. He also loves learning about animals, space, and how different elements combine to create or break things. From the very beginning, Matthew has excelled in math, and this year is no exception. In science, he will be expected to select an experiment, conduct research, and present his findings, a challenge he eagerly anticipates.

Matthew's father firmly believes that a solid education is crucial for a child's development. A good education fosters discipline, cultivates positive habits, and builds strong character. This conviction led Matthew's stepmother and him to work hard to enroll him in a private Christion school. They are currently in college, striving to set a positive example for their son. Their commitment to higher learning has strained their family's finances, making covering bills and educational expenses very challenging. They are immensely grateful for ACE Scholarships, which has lightened the load of paying for Matthew's education. The support from ACE Scholarships has enabled him to remain in private school, which is a tremendous blessing to their family.

Montana Tax Credit Program

ACE Scholarships Montana offers a Tax Credit Program. Thank you for your interest in Montana’s Student Scholarships Organization Tax Credit. Unfortunately, the state tax-credit donation cap has already been met for the current calendar year. The program will open again for donations on January 1st. Please Note: This program is available until the state cap has been met. For those inclined to make a difference and fortify our Montana community, this program is a no-brainer. Eighty-six percent of every donation to ACE directly funds a child’s scholarship, and the taxpayer receives a 100% state income tax credit, if eligible, through the Montana Tax Credit for Qualified Education Contributions for this donation. The 2025 Donation Cap has been met. The credit is available on a first-come, first-serve basis as determined by the timestamp of when we received your donation. Partnerships, S corporations, or LLC may not exceed $200,000 for each tax credit. Partners, S corporation shareholders, and members of an LLC may take a credit that is equal to their ownership percentage. A pass-through entity’s donation must be attributed to its owners using the same proportion used to report the entity’s income or loss. Check our latest third-party research publications for further detail.

A Student's Success Story: Sadie

When Sadie received an ACE Scholarship, it opened doors her mother once thought were far beyond her reach. Instead, today Sadie is learning in a place where she’s challenged academically and supported emotionally and spiritually-surrounded by dedicated teachers, small class sizes, and a community that values both education and strong character. As a first grader, she thrives in an environment tailored to her needs. Her teachers take the time to build relationships, teach foundational life skills, and nurture her emotional well-being. Her mother knows that when she drops her off each morning, she’s in a place that reinforces the same principles and morals she teaches at home-something often overlooked in her nearby public schools. For Sadie’s mother, school choice means hope. It means her daughter’s future isn’t limited by their zip code or financial situation. It’s the freedom to choose a school that sees her, supports her, and helps her grow into the best version of herself.
