Types of Interviews

  • Initial Conversation with Recruiters: Some programs require an initial conversation with recruiters. Be open and communicate with your recruiter.

  • Online Assessment: Others have an online assessment that must be completed before interviews. The assessment is a chance for Capital One to learn about your background, strengths, and approach to work while giving you insight into the associate life at Capital One.

  • First Round Interview: Some programs require a first-round interview with a recruiter or hiring manager. These interviews vary by program, and your recruiter will provide more information on what to expect.

  • Behavioral Interviews: Behavioral interviews assess competencies, meaning they evaluate how you handled a particular experience.

Internship Program Details

Duration and Location

This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2025. Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model, for the duration of the program.

Compensation and Benefits

In our 10-week internship programs, you’re paid to dig into challenging projects with real business impact. Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

You might even use data and design thinking to boost the user experience of our mobile app! Your project could focus on business strategy, tech innovation, or customer experience, giving you hands-on experience, collaboration with experts, and a direct view of your work's real-world results.

  • Mentorship: Mentorship from leaders who are deeply invested in your success will help you develop both technical and professional skills that last long after the program ends.

Analyst Intern Program (AIP)

As an intern in the Analyst Intern Program (AIP), you’ll apply your strategic and analytical skills to impactful challenges on an experienced and collaborative team, that drive company growth-like building strong technology-driven products for our customers, crafting our marketing and digital strategy, and analyzing the business impacts of credit approval and real-time fraud detection, just to name a few. Whether you want to develop your strategic business acumen or refine your technical skills through coding and modeling, this experience will help launch your career journey.

  • Build your business acumen: Develop strategic problem-solving, quantitative analytics, and communication skills. Armed with our best-in-class analytical practices, you’ll partner across teams to create new solutions to major challenges.

  • Leverage technology to drive solutions: Refine your tech skills by learning tools such as SQL and Python to drive your analysis forward. Lean into a data-backed decision-making approach as you evaluate efficiencies and solve business problems. You’ll work on hypothesis-driven strategy analysis and build valuation models or data products on AWS infrastructure using SQL, Python, and Spark.

As a Software Engineer in the Technology Internship Program, you may work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end Java-based systems using the hottest techniques in Big Data.
