Georgia HOSA Scholarships
Georgia HOSA provides several scholarship avenues for its members, including those focused on supporting participation in international events and recognizing outstanding achievement.
Georgia HOSA Scholarship Application 2026
All applicants must complete and submit this application no later than February 19, 2026.
International Leadership Travel Scholarships
Georgia HOSA, in collaboration with GaHSTEF (Georgia Healthcare Science Technology Education Foundation) & GHA (Georgia Hospital Association), offers scholarships to ILC (International Leadership Conference) competitors for registration and travel-related expenses for the 2026 International Leadership Conference. These need-based scholarships are designed to assist SLC (State Leadership Conference) qualified competitors who might otherwise be unable to attend the ILC due to financial constraints. Advisors must complete the application form on behalf of the student. The application deadline is April 10th.

North Carolina HOSA Scholarships
NC HOSA partners contribute to a scholarship program that recognizes academic excellence, leadership skills, and community service. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and other criteria, with donors invited to present the awards at the State Leadership Conference.
General Scholarship Information
NC HOSA partners can contribute $500 or more to the scholarship fund. Scholarships may be named for donations of $500 or more, while any amount under $500 will be deposited into the general scholarship fund.

Application Requirements
All applicants must submit the following:
- A color photo
- A resume
- An unofficial transcript
- An essay describing future career plans and how a scholarship would help achieve them
- Three recommendation letters, one of which must be from the HOSA advisor/Health Science Education teacher. Teachers should submit their recommendation letters through a provided link, and it is the applicant's responsibility to ensure these are submitted.
Pennybyrn Compassion in Healthcare Scholarship
This scholarship is for high school seniors and recognizes students embodying compassion in healthcare. Pennybyrn, a leader in providing innovative and compassionate service and care for older adults for over 76 years, offers this scholarship to students who reflect Christian values and honor the dignity of each person.
Northern Region Hospital Scholarship
This scholarship is provided for a North Carolina HOSA high school senior from the Northwest or Piedmont Triad Region who plans to continue their education in a healthcare field. This investment reflects Northern Regional Hospital's dedication to nurturing local students, encouraging them to pursue their careers close to home, and strengthening the region's healthcare talent pipeline.
Southminster Scholarship
Open to high school seniors and collegiate students in the Southwest Region, this scholarship supports aspiring healthcare professionals who demonstrate strong academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to serving their communities. Recipients exemplify Southminster’s core values-community, excellence, compassion, well-being, and doing the right thing-while demonstrating a dedication to improving the health and well-being of others.
Shawn Blanton Memorial Scholarship

Future Health Professional Scholarship
- Scholarship Amount: $1,000
- Qualifications: Barbara James Service Award Guidelines for Bronze (100 - 174.9 approved hours)
- This scholarship is awarded to one student who plans to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. Applicants must be planning to attend a four-year university or college, or a two-year community college and must be affiliated members of HOSA. The scholarship recipient must demonstrate an active role in their local HOSA chapter. One scholarship will be announced at the State Leadership Conference.

- Qualifications: Barbara James Service Award Guidelines for Silver (175 - 249.9 approved hours)
- This scholarship is offered to one student who plans on pursuing a career in the health industry. Students must be affiliated members of HOSA to apply. This scholarship will be awarded to the student who best expresses their creativity in promoting the mission of HOSA. One scholarship recipient will be announced at the State Leadership Conference.
Laurene McLemore Memorial Scholarship
- Scholarship Amount: $3,000
- Qualifications: Barbara James Service Award Guidelines for Gold (250+ approved hours)
- This scholarship is offered to one student who plans on pursuing a career in the health industry. Ms. McLemore was the longest-standing HOSA state advisor for the State of Tennessee. Board Chairman and received HOSA's highest honor, Honorary Life Member. Ms. McLemore believed in the mission of HOSA and the opportunities that Career and Technical Student Organizations provide. Students applying for the Laurene McLemore Memorial Scholarship must be affiliated members of HOSA and demonstrate a belief in the mission of the HOSA organization.
