Dallas College Promise (known as Dallas Promise) is a transformational effort between school districts, colleges, universities, workforce, and communities to reduce the financial burden on students while completing a postsecondary degree or credential. Through the Promise program, Dallas College provides tuition awards to students who meet certain eligibility requirements and graduate from specific Promise high schools. The Promise tuition award covers the gap between need-based financial aid and the cost of tuition for up to a time limit or the completion of a degree per institution.

Dallas College’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team provides high-quality mental health services for currently registered students to promote the overall well-being, retention and success of our diverse student population. Counseling and Psychological Services are confidential services that are free of charge. Each campus has licensed mental health professionals available to help you. Counselors can provide individual counseling with a focus on mental health and well-being. The team meets students where they are and accepts referrals about people in distress, struggling with basic needs, experiencing unexpected crises or whose behavior raises concerns about their well-being or that of others. Your student care coordinator will refer you to the resources that can best meet your needs. Note: This form is not for emergency situations.

Health Centers
You do not need to be sick to visit a Health Center. Health questions and concerns are welcome. Students with chronic health problems should visit the Health Center to discuss any special concerns with a nurse before attending classes, or whenever problems arise. We provide the resources to ensure you stay physically safe and emotionally well throughout your academic journey.
Dual Credit and Early College High School Program
The Dual Credit and Early College High School program is approved and regulated by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board defines dual credit as a system in which an eligible high school student enrolls in college course(s) and receives credit for the course(s) from both the college and high school.
TSI Assessment
The TSI Assessment is a placement test to help determine if you are ready for college-level course work in reading, writing and mathematics. If you are an incoming college student in Texas, you are required to take the TSI Assessment unless you are exempt.
Dropping a Course

Graduation Application
Once you’ve registered for the last courses needed for your degree or certificate, you must submit a graduation application, even if you do not plan to participate in the annual commencement ceremony. Enrolling in college is a lot like preparing to run a race. You have to get ready, get set and finally go! You’re already ready because you’ve been admitted.
