Indirect costs are estimated expenses for items like books, supplies, personal expenses, and transportation. A student's financial aid package is designed to cover a combination of aid up to the Total Cost of Attendance.

It is essential to understand that the budget is for the student and student only. For those students that are married, it is highly suggested that students review the student budget with their spouse. Furthermore, per federal regulations, the Financial Aid Office at Western University of Health Sciences is unable to make budget adjustments for students with dependents.

Western Michigan University (WMU)

For students with 55 or fewer earned credits:
- Resident: \$658.92 per credit hour for 1-11 semester credits; \$7,907.00 flat rate for 12-15 semester credits (+\$658.92 per credit hour over 15)
- Non-Resident: \$823.65 per credit hour for 1-11 semester credits; \$9,883.75 flat rate for 12-15 semester credits (+\$823.65 per credit hour over 15)
For students with 56 or more earned credits:
- Resident: \$722.92 per credit hour for 1-11 semester credits; \$8,675.00 flat rate for 12-15 semester credits (+\$722.92 per credit hour over 15)
- Non-Resident: \$903.65 per credit hour for 1-11 semester credits; \$10,843.75 flat rate for 12-15 semester credits (+\$903.65 per credit hour over 15)

WMU also charges differential tuition rates for specific colleges, such as the Haworth College of Business, the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the College of Fine Arts. These differential rates apply after 55 earned credit hours.

It's important to note that flat rate tuition rates are not applicable for Summer I/II sessions.

Western Oregon University (WOU)

At Western Oregon University, undergraduate students with a total of 56 or more credit hours will be assessed for their tuition costs at the upper-level tuition rate. This higher tuition rate takes effect at the time of the change in classification from lower-level to upper-level student status-which may occur after the start of the semester or session. The difference in tuition cost will be applied to the cost of the student's class schedule in progress at the time of the classification change.

The Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE) offers students from participating western states and designated majors the opportunity to enroll at a reduced tuition level, 150 percent of resident tuition plus fees. The tuition and fees estimates for undergraduate students are based on 15 credits per term. The regular academic year consists of three terms or quarters.

Pennsylvania Western University

Pennsylvania Western University's tuition is \$11,120 for in-state students and \$14,978 for out-of-state students. Compared with the national average cost of in-state tuition of \$12,436, Pennsylvania Western University is cheaper. For students coming from out of state, the tuition is cheaper than the national average cost of out-of-state tuition of \$29,815.

Western State Colorado University

The state of Colorado partially subsidizes tuition costs for all students whose domicile, or permanent legal residence, is in Colorado. Each Western student is classified as either an “in-state resident” or a “non-resident” at the time of matriculation. These classifications are based on information provided by each student on the application for admission to Western. Students must submit petitions with appropriate documentation to be eligible for a change to in-state status. *The amount of $7,476 represents the total amount of tuition after the COF stipend, total in-state tuition without COF is $10,956. *The amount of $10,752 represents the total amount of tuition after the COF stipend, total in-state tuition without COF is $14,232.

Student Assessment Fee: At WMU, this fee supports student organizations and agencies that enhance the out-of-classroom experience, such as Bronco Bash, Homecoming, campus media (Western Herald, WIDR), and student-only entertainment.

Many WesternU colleges and programs offer incoming students recruitment scholarships based on the strength of a student’s admissions application and interview as well as their contributions to the community. A separate application is not required.
