On the busy Villanova campus, most people are involved in one of the 300 student organizations. Events, like formals, are "a big deal," and at Fall Festival, the world's largest studentrun Special Olympics event. The same goes for basketball season. Throughout the year, there are weekend activities hosted by the Campus Activity Team, and students can hang out at the Connelly Center, which has lounges, meeting rooms, a coffee shop, an ice cream shop, and "a cinema that is always showing a movie." The majority of students live on campus and "most residence halls are really impressive and kept up very well." Philadelphia is "an easy short train ride" away, and the school also offers a free weekend shuttle to the King of Prussia Mall.
Community Service and Augustinian Values
Community service is a powerful force at Villanova. Many students participate in immersive “Service and Justice Experiences'' for local grassroots organizations engaged in community revitalization, immigrant justice and homeless outreach. Nova offers servicelearning courses where students work directly with partners in the local community, including volunteering with nonprofits focused on adult literacy, working with athletes in the Special Olympics, and tutoring in local prisons. ‘Nova Dance’, as one example, a 12-hour dance marathon, raised over $500,000 for pediatric cancer.
The Augustinian order of the Catholic Church takes community service seriously. Villanova University puts an "emphasis on service" and sets students up for success by providing numerous resources, not just for current enrollees but for graduates as well.
Costs and Financial Aid
The school's tuition and fees are $70,826. Forty-one percent of first-year students receive need-based financial aid, and the average net price for federal loan recipients is $43,090. Less than four percent of the Class of 2026 received merit-based awards. The school, on average, met 80 percent of need. There are need-based initiatives like The Sunshine Fund, which helps to pay for things like attending conference or club fees.
Social Life and Extracurricular Activities
There are opportunities to volunteer, such as "week-long service break experiences all over the world" or "driving into Philly to play with kids and help them with their studies." Students can be found congregating in the Connelly Center, St. Restaurants and bars in the area are also popular.

A ton of students get involved with intramurals or club sports teams. Villanova has no Greek houses on campus, but a quarter of the men and nearly half of the women participate. However, the more formal parties happen in Philadelphia.
