Your Guide to Merchandise at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood offers a wide array of merchandise across its various themed areas and stores. Much like Universal Orlando, you cannot find every piece of merchandise in a single location. This guide provides a detailed overview of the shopping options available, from the magical realm of Harry Potter to classic Universal Studios memorabilia.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood brings the magic of the books and films to life. Here's a breakdown of the key stores:

Ollivander's

If you're wand shopping, there’s no finer store than Ollivander’s. This store is much bigger than the Orlando Hogsmeade Ollivander’s and maybe even bigger than the Orlando Diagon Alley Ollivander’s.

Honeydukes

For those with a sweet tooth, Honeydukes is the place to be. It’s brightly colored in the best way and crammed full of candy options. They’ve added on a Florean Fortescue’s ice cream area, but don’t expect fancy options like you’d get in the Florean Fortescue’s in Orlando. Options are limited for ice cream but still fun. You can make your own custom mix of candy, and buy cupcakes and other snacks here.

Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods

A good collection of clothing, replicas, collectibles, and more are all here, at Filch’s. A small downside is the surge of people leaving the Forbidden Journey ride that funnel in, but this store has a wide range collection of items, making it a good overall store to shop in. Most of the items here are repeated in other stores.

Other Harry Potter Shops

Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment: A cute store that is full of Quidditch and house merchandise, particularly clothes. This store has lots of owls, stationary, journals, and quills. It’s a very small store so when it’s busy it gets crowded.
Gladrags Wizardwear: A very cute shop located right off of Ollivander’s. It focuses on house themed clothing and also Marauder’s Map merchandise.
Hogwarts Express Shop: A tiny cute shop located right next to the Hogwarts Express, the items for sale are of course, mainly Hogwarts Express themed!
Dervish and Banges: This cute shop connects with Dervish and Banges and the Owl Post. It has fun Hogwarts house merchandise and unique jewelry, some of which I only saw in this store.

Universal Studios Store (Upper Lot)

Located right near the entrance/exit of Universal Hollywood, this store has a lot of Harry Potter merchandise. This is a great place to get replicas from, as well as keychains and pins, as they seem to have all of them here. There’s also wands if you missed out earlier, clothing, and almost any type of merchandise you can think of. A drawback is that this store is not in the Harry Potter land and is not Harry Potter themed. It contains items for sale from a number of rides in the park. So if you’re really into that magical feeling, this store is not the one for you. I do think it’s worth a stop, as they have a wide variety of merchandise and the store is often less crowded. This is the best store if you collect keychains and/or pins. This is also the only place I saw merchandise from Minalima.

Universal Studios Store (Citywalk)

This store is good if you can’t get into the park but you’re in Citywalk, or you would like to get your merchandise at the spot closest to the parking lot. A word of warning though: unlike the Orlando Citywalk store, this one is lacking in merchandise.

Retro Filmmaking Collection

Universal Studios Hollywood has a new collection of apparel and home goods featuring retro filmmaking icons.

Apparel

Jacket: This shiny black jacket has a snap front, two pockets, and ribbed trim. Embroidered in white on the chest is “EST. On the back is the park’s iconic globe in black and white with “Universal Studios” around it. The left sleeve features an old film camera, the Universal globe, a pair of retro movie tickets, and a director’s megaphone.
Button-Up: Like the jacket, the button-up is black and white. It has short sleeves and a breast pocket. The all-over print features the Universal Studios archway, globe, film camera, tickets, and megaphone.
Ball Cap: The black ball cap has white cord trim around the front. There are thin black stripes on the cord. A black pleather Universal globe appliqué is on the front of the hat. The underside of the brim features gray Universal and movie icons. The hat has an adjustable Velcro backstrap.
White T-Shirt: This off-white tee has “Universal Studios” in blue collegiate-style lettering with five red stars.
Blue T-Shirt: A light blue tee has just the globe image with palm trees. This artwork is in white.

Home Goods and Accessories

Snow Globe: A globe in a globe - a yellow and gray version of the Universal globe sits among gray palm trees inside this snow globe. Around the sides of the base are the film reel, tickets, camera, and megaphone icons.
Archway Figure: This small statue is inspired by the famous entrance archway to Universal Studios Hollywood.
Lanyard: The lanyard resembles a film strip. One side has white squares with colorful icons. The other side has both black and white squares, with black icons inside the white squares. On both sides is “Universal Studios.”
Lanyard Pouch: The matching lanyard pouch is white with black film strip borders featuring the film icons.
Sling Backpack: Carry your park essentials in this sling backpack. It’s made of black pleather. It has two zip pockets. The interior lining of both pockets is white with a black all-over pattern of film icons. There’s a small slip pocket inside the larger compartment. The strap is black and white with a pattern inspired by a film strip. The strap can be adjusted and clipped in different ways.
Bow Hair Clip: This is a velveteen bow attached to a metal hair clip. The bow has a globe charm in the center and “Universal Studios” embroidered at one end.
