Comprehensive Guide to UCF Student Health Services

UCF Health Student Health Services (SHS) is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare, promoting lifelong well-being, and supporting academic success within the UCF community. Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, SHS offers a wide array of primary and specialty care services to help students maintain their optimum health. The Health Center is conveniently located on the Main Campus, with satellite clinics at the Rosen, Health Sciences, and Downtown campuses.

Accessing Primary Care Services

Students' primary care consultation and evaluation by health providers are covered by the Health Fee, which is included in their tuition. UCF Health Student Health Services provides a wide array of primary care services by an Advanced Practice Provider Monday through Thursday and a Primary Care Physician on Friday to meet your health needs. Daily telehealth appointments are also available. The clinic is located at the Lake Nona Health Sciences Campus in Suite 416.

Services Offered

A wide variety of services to support student health and well-being are available at the Health Center. Our providers are trained to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions, including skin conditions, cold and flu, infections, depression, injuries, and more. They can also assist with the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, Crohn’s disease, and more. Additional services/materials are either billed to insurance or you can take advantage of our low self-pay prices.

X-Ray Services

Students have the convenience of having their x-rays taken here at the Health Center. Because we use the latest all-digital technology, most x-rays have an initial-read 20-minute turnaround time, so students rarely have to come back or wait for a phone call to be diagnosed. All x-rays are sent to a consultant radiologist for confirmation of diagnoses.

Laboratory Services

For a quick diagnosis, we can process limited labs in-house via our own Physician Office Laboratory. We also send specimens to outside labs as specified by your insurance plan. Lab orders from outside physician offices can not be accepted directly and will require patients to schedule with one of our providers to review the orders before transferring to our facility.
