UCF Soccer and Track Complex: Home of the Knights

The UCF Soccer and Track Complex is a multi-purpose stadium located on the main campus of the University of Central Florida near Orlando, Florida, in unincorporated Orange County. Set on the University of Central Florida campus at 4000 Central Florida Blvd in Orlando, UCF Soccer and Track Stadium is home to the Knights’ soccer and track and field programs.

Overview

The 2,000-seat stadium is home to the UCF Knights track and field, cross country, and soccer teams. The venue pairs a manicured soccer pitch with a fast 400-meter track, delivering close-to-the-action views for conference showdowns, early-season tuneups, and championship moments. Under the lights, Knight Nation’s Charge On chant turns tight matches into can’t-miss nights.

Location and History

The stadium is located within Knights Plaza, which is a part of UCF's Athletic Village. The stadium was built in 1991, and during the summer of 2004, the track was resurfaced and enhanced.

Renovations

In 2011, the stadium was heavily renovated, boasting a 2,000 seat capacity with a new 1,475-seat stand, press box, 7,500 square feet (700 m2) clubhouse, restrooms, and new entrance on the west side of the facility. A new grandstand section along with on-site restrooms was added in the most recent phase of construction. The grandstand brought an additional 1,475 seats, bringing the total capacity to more than 2,000 for the entire complex.

Field Details

The soccer field is made of natural grass and measures 347 feet (106 m) x 200 feet (61 m). Surrounding one of the top pitches in all of college soccer is an eight-lane, 400-meter track featuring a Martin Surface that was refurbished in the summer of 2004. In 2008, an expanded throwing area for the hammer, discus, and shotput was also added to the complex.
