Careful examination of and respect for many cultures and their cultural productions contribute to responsible, ethical, and productive engagement with the varied cultural expressions we encounter today. Students conduct research in the humanities - including the study of languages, literature, history, jurisprudence, philosophy, comparative religion, ethics, and the arts - while developing their own skills of critical evaluation and constructive engagement.
