The 21-month, every third weekend format for the Executive MBA (EMBA) program is an immersive and impactful experience that will prepare you to lead the way in the digital world. Students develop a comprehensive understanding of essential business disciplines as they learn how top executives make strategic decisions. Every EMBA student completes three experiential residential courses that place students inside leading local businesses. With mentorship from Merage School faculty, you will work with top executives to analyze and solve real-world business challenges.
The program offers a rigorous, technology-driven curriculum designed to fit the demanding schedules of experienced professionals. All students complete a core sequence of 10 core courses covering fundamental disciplines of business leadership and data-driven decision making. A selection of anchor electives offered only to EMBA students provides flexibility to deepen skills in areas such as healthcare, global business, negotiation and more. Approved for use with VA education benefits, the three-course program develops core competencies essential to modern executive protection, including protective intelligence, advance planning, emergency response, legal considerations, ethics and operational decision-making. Participants also gain an understanding of the legal aspects surrounding use of force and liability, secure a variety of environments such as residences, hotels, aircraft and vehicles, and apply physical protection strategies and deployment formations in corporate and private settings. Students are offered a large selection of courses (about 15 per quarter. Prerequisites must be met for the courses. Students do not receive degrees from UC Irvine. Join the California Graduate Experience and gain the tools, insights, and confidence to lead with impact.
