Early Years and College Beginnings
Dell initially committed to Florida International University (FIU) before briefly enrolling at Alabama A&M. He appeared in four games for Alabama A&M before redshirting. After his time at Alabama A&M, Dell spent the 2019 season at Independence Community College.

2023 NFL Draft
Dell's impressive college career culminated in being selected by the Houston Texans in the third round (69th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Texans recognized his potential to contribute to their offense.
2023 Season: Promising Rookie Year
Dell quickly made an impact in his rookie season. In Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals, Dell had a career-high performance, catching eight passes for 149 yards and one touchdown. However, his promising season was cut short in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos when he suffered a fractured fibula, which ruled him out for the remainder of the year.
2024 Season: Injury Setback
Dell continued to show promise in the 2024 season. In Week 9 against the New York Jets, Dell recorded six receptions for 126 yards in a 21-13 loss. Unfortunately, his season was once again derailed by injury. During the Texans’ Week 16 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, Dell collided with teammate Jared Wayne on a touchdown pass from C. J. Stroud and suffered a season-ending knee injury that included a dislocated knee, multiple torn ligaments, and meniscus damage. Prior to the injury, Dell had recorded 51 catches for 667 yards and three touchdowns.
Injury Concerns and Recovery
The severity of Dell's knee injury raised concerns about his future playing career. Reports indicated that he was likely to miss the entire 2025 season while recovering.
