A Comprehensive Range of Academic Programs
At TSC, students can choose from over 100 degree and certificate programs, encompassing fields from business management to engineering, nursing to law enforcement. The college's Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree for transfer to a state university offers several tracks for pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher. The College offers career degrees and certificates in health care, computer and information technology, criminal justice and public safety, business and management, education, engineering technology, and manufacturing.

Seamless Transfer Pathways
Tallahassee State College is the college of choice for students who have their sights set on a four-year university degree. With our Aspire and Ignite transfer programs, we make transferring to Florida State University and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University seamless. Approximately 75 percent of TSC's Associate in Arts degree graduates go on to a state university within one year and many attend FSU and FAMU. TSC is two miles from FSU and five miles from FAMU. Our students live with FSU and FAMU students in off-campus housing and have a rich college experience along with the 60,000 students who study here every year.
Accessible and Affordable Education
Tuition at Tallahassee State is about half the cost of tuition at a state university at around $100 per credit hour. TCC maintains one of the lowest tuition rates in the state of Florida. Going to Tallahassee State is extremely affordable. We offer flexible and affordable payment options AND provide a wide range of financial assistance, from financial aid to scholarships. At Tallahassee State College, we have scholarships for all types of students through the TSC Foundation. Scholarships are based not only on academic achievement; we have scholarships based on financial need, a program of study, and much more.When you submit the TSC Scholarship Application, you’ll be matched with available scholarships you qualify for. The total estimated full time costs of $9,369.58 consists of $2,569.58 for Tuition, $800.00 for Books and Supplies, and $6,000.00 for Housing.

TSC is proud to be an open-access institution, committed to providing educational opportunities to everyone. Our admissions process is straightforward: as long as you meet the basic requirements, you're in. Applicants must be a high school graduate or possess a GED. You don’t need test scores, a minimum GPA, or even an application fee. Tallahassee State College follows an Open Admissions policy. Test scores and/or GPA are not factors in the admissions decision. With our inclusive admissions policy, we aim to make higher education accessible to all.

You can schedule one-on-one advising sessions, attend group workshops, or access resources online. Free tutoring and other academic support services are available to students at the William D. Law, Jr. Learning Commons.

We offer flexible learning options to fit your busy schedule. Our advising services provide personalized guidance, ensuring you receive the academic support needed to succeed. Additionally, we provide access to childcare, financial aid resources, and career counseling to help you thrive. The most successful online students are active learners who are willing to take responsibility for their own learning and can stay current and organized with their courses. Tallahassee State College publishes Distance Learning courses on the FloridaShines Course Catalog.
Locations and Community Engagement
From our main campus to county-specific institutes to satellite centers, we are proud to serve our community at our seven locations across our three-county service district. Tallahassee State College has seven campuses in Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties. TSC's regional service centers (Quincy House, Wakulla Center, TSC Capitol Center) help meet local needs, while the Center for Workforce Development provides job training, professional certification and adult education programs.

A Vibrant College Town Experience
Tallahassee is both Florida's state capital and a true college town with three major institutions of higher learning. Tallahassee consistently ranks in the top 20 on a variety of Best College Town lists (but number 1 in our hearts).
Tallahassee is a college town and the state’s capital. It boasts many cultural and natural amenities. From state parks and skate parks to fine dining and food trucks, there is something here for everyone. TSC does not have on-campus housing; however, there are many student apartment complexes and housing options near our campus. No car? No problem! Tallahassee’s local bus service, StarMetro, operates bus service to TSC’s main campus. TSC provides transportation for individuals with mobility impairments. Students must meet with a counselor in the Student Accessibility Services to determine eligibility.

Achieving the Dream (ATD) has awarded Tallahassee State College the prestigious Leah Meyer Austin Award, the highest distinction a college in the ATD network can earn. Tallahassee State College has been named an Achieving the Dream (ATD) Leader College of Distinction.

If you have not been enrolled at TSC within the last 12 months, you'll need to complete a new application for admission. Don't worry-this doesn't mean your progress is lost.
