Childcare Programs: Nurturing Growth and Development

STMA Community Education offers several childcare programs designed to provide a safe, supervised, and enriching environment for children. These programs focus on developing physical, social, and emotional skills, fostering independence, and encouraging responsible decision-making.

Kids Play: Extended Day Childcare

Kids Play is a quality, extended-day childcare program that offers a well-supervised environment where children can develop physical, social, and emotional skills. Sponsored by St. Michael-Albertville Community Education, Kids Play caters to children who are pre-kindergarten (entering kindergarten in the fall) through 2nd grade. All children are at the Community Education Center (which houses St. Michael-Albertville Community Education).

Schedules: A minimum of 3 days a week is required, and the days must be the same from week to week.

Just 4 Kids: Full-Day Childcare

Just 4 Kids is a full-day childcare program offered through Kids Play for children who are four years old by September. The Just 4 Kids program specifically caters to children who are 4 years of age by September.

No School Days / Winter & Spring Break Care

STMA Community Education provides care for children during no school days, as well as during winter and spring breaks. Registration is done online through your billing account. The deadline is 14 days prior to each no school day. Care for all no school days is at the Community Education Center. Children must be 4 years of age by September to participate. Part-time options are available, with 3 or 4 days per week.

Club Knights: Fostering Independence and Responsibility

Club Knights is designed for children currently in 3rd-6th grade. The program is located at Middle School East. Club Knights operates on the same concept as Kids Play with a few changes. Club Knights members enjoy greater independence while still being in a supervised environment. This approach encourages them to take responsibility, make smart choices, and develop confidence. Club Knights children are able to sign themselves in upon arrival.

Athletic Skills Development: Building Strength and Confidence

STMA Community Education also offers programs designed to help young athletes build strength, speed, and confidence in a safe and effective manner.

After-School Athletic Program for 7th-8th Graders

This after-school program is designed for 7th-8th graders who want to build athletic skills safely and effectively. Each session is fun, hands-on, and focused on proper movement, strength, speed, power, and injury prevention.

Important Reminders:

  • Shoes Required - No shoes, no lifting.
  • Respect the Space - No horseplay or unsafe behavior.
  • Students coming from Middle School East should ride the activities shuttle over to Middle School West after school.
