Exploring the Features of Seesaw Learning Academy for Educators

Seesaw is more than just a digital platform; it's a vibrant learning ecosystem designed to empower students and connect educators. At the core of Seesaw lies a strong sense of community, with educators driving its evolution. This article will guide teachers through the various features and communities within the Seesaw Learning Academy, highlighting how they can enhance instruction and foster professional growth. Seesaw is not a program that is subject specific or grade level specific. It is a program that allows students to express their learning using creative tools like voice-record, drawing, labeling, etc. Seesaw is a digital platform where students can share what they are learning and save their work in a digital portfolio.

If you see a message saying “You don’t have any active classes associated with your account” when you first log in, Click the Wrench icon in the top right corner to get to your Class Settings > scroll down to select 'Manage Students'.

Professional Learning Communities within Seesaw

Seesaw fosters a collaborative environment through its professional learning communities, designed to support educators at every stage of their Seesaw journey. These communities offer unique opportunities for connection, learning, growth, and the sharing of ideas.

Seesaw Pioneers: Leveling Up Your Seesaw Skills

Seesaw Pioneers are educators who know how to use Seesaw and are ready to level up. They get inspired by expert educators, gather ideas to support instruction, and stay in the loop about all things Seesaw. Educators take a 1-hour course to become an official Seesaw Pioneer and then have access to a Community Learning Hub with 5-10 additional hours of courses to view on-demand. All courses include certificates of completion to track progress.
