After winning a Beauty College Scholarship after graduating high school, it became clear that beauty had most certainly chosen Amy. Her Beauty Diploma completed, Amy entered the industry via 2 prestigiously located Ella Bache Salons in Victoria. However, it was whilst working amongst Australia’s top wholesalers that Amy’s found her true passion sparked - working with students, salons and beauty professionals alike, to guide and educate in treatments and product knowledge. International Perspectives: Lauren's Story

Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio in the United States, Lauren has always known she would pursue a career in the beauty industry. From the age of ten she started learning everything she could about beauty, makeup and fashion online and from local artists. She began taking classes at 13 years old in Special FX and Glam makeup and began working as a makeup artist locally in Cleveland, Ohio, just one year later. As a freelancer, she began working with local fashion designers on different projects, some of which ended up in shows like Paris Fashion Week. While doing this, she shadowed the beauty departments to eventually take the lead in their hair and makeup departments years later. After freelancing as a junior for a few years she decided to attend cosmetology school where she learned everything about hair, skin, nails, and beauty that she could. She went on to do local and state level competitions and won awards across the country for her services. After completing this course, she continued to do hair and makeup freelance while also opening her own lash and brow business in 2018. Lauren then made the move to Australia in early 2022 and decided the next step forward in the industry would be becoming an educator.
