RQI for Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Enhancing survival rates and minimizing neurodevelopmental complications in newborns depends on the implementation of CPR training methodologies tailored to this vulnerable demographic. To ensure learner proficiency, RQI Partners established a strategic collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) within the framework of the 8th Edition of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). The RQI for NRP simulation station, tailored for neonatal resuscitation, closely resembles the traditional version. Each quarter, in a low-dose, high-frequency model, cognitive and skills sessions assess the learner’s recall, application, and practice of the NRP algorithm, positive pressure ventilation, and MR. The SimNewB, provided by the AAP, is a newborn tetherless simulator designed to fulfill targeted learning objectives for high-quality neonatal CPR training.
Digital Delivery Program for NRP
In collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), RQI Partners has developed a digital delivery program for NRP, ensuring healthcare providers are prepared to deliver life-saving resuscitation when required. Our approach of self-directed skills sessions dramatically increases providers’ competence and confidence to deliver high-quality resuscitation for neonatal patients. A neonate in cardiorespiratory distress requires specialized-resuscitation training due to unique physiology in a newborn’s transition to breathing. Neonatal patient outcomes rely on the immediate and effective resuscitation response of medical providers. Healthcare facilities must ensure that their staff is both confident and competent in high-quality neonatal resuscitation skills to improve outcomes and provide the best chance at a healthy and thriving start to life-Every baby.
NRP 9th Edition
The 9th Edition of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Heart Association will be launching in October 2025. If you have inventory of NRP 8th Edition Provider and Instructor course licenses, rest assured that your licenses will seamlessly transition to the 9th Edition once the new courses are available.
NRP Courses
The NRP courses are available for two skills levels, Essentials and Advanced, to best prepare healthcare professionals to respond competently and confidently based on their level of responsibility. The NRP education and training solutions are designed for those who participate in neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room and newborn nursery. The NRP curriculum is designed for health care professionals who are involved in any aspect of newborn resuscitation. The NRP 8th edition Essentials Provider content covers lessons 1 through 4 of the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 8th edition. The NRP programs and courses continue to meet the learning needs of Instructors and Providers through award-winning state-of-the-art interactive education.
